From fast service to amazing food, this place is hard to pass up for a solid breakfast. They modernized the restaurant, which looks great. They have several employees who have been there for years, and should you become a regular, you’ll get to spot them. They take their coffee very seriously, always making sure you’ve got a full cup. They've got amazing pancakes and the best sugar-free pancake syrup.

What a home run of a breakfast place!
We arrived at 915a today and were seated promptly. Our server Addison was the best I have had in a LONG time. She was super friendly, attentive, and was not over-bearing at all. She had answers to any questions we had and came in clutch when I asked for a single tortilla to finish my skillet with. Five stars for service alone!
The food was 10/10. I had the New Mexico skillet with over-easy eggs and a side of pancakes, and everything was cooked perfectly. The portions were perfectly sized as well. Our wait time was about 10min from ordering which means they know what they are doing in the back.
This place is absolutely our new favorite breakfast spot when we come to the phoenix area and we will definitely be back!

I used to eat at this place 6 years ago and enjoyed it tremendously. I haven't been able to make my way back until now and it's still just as amazing as the other 7 times I ate here. We went on a Tuesday near noon so there was no wait. I basically licked my plate clean. When my bacon didn't come out the way I ordered it they promptly remade it. The orange juice is definitely fresh and the best liquid I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. The potatoes were crispy and the pancakes had great flavor. Amazing service. Amazing food. I wish I could eat here every morning.

I had a delightful experience at Butterfield's Pancake House & Restaurant! The staff was amicable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing meal.
I tried the Danish Blueberry pancakes, which were a treat for the taste buds. The burst of blueberry flavor was great, but I would caution those without a sweet tooth, as it might be a bit much. Overall, it is a fantastic place for a delicious breakfast with top-notch service and a cozy environment.

My family and friends have been on a losing streak for amazing service, good, and dining experience. This place has turned that around for us. The food is amazingly delicious, I had the whole hog skillet. It was crispy yet soft in the middle hash browns with sausage, ham, bacon a with cheese topped with two eggs to your order. I ordered mine over medium which was perfect! And it came with THE BEST PANCAKES IN THE VALLEY, these pancakes will change your freaking life. We definitely will be back and making this our new breakfast spot. Our waitress was also on top of everything for us and had our order taken in a timely manner and the food was cooked to perfection quickly and brought out all together at the same temp and time. Love this place. I should’ve taken better pictures for this review, I shall for the next time.

We went here for the 1st time on 8/3, but it won’t be the last. Our server, Briana, made great suggestions and was very helpful. Everyone was polite, attentive and very efficient. Food was delicious. A large breakfast menu to choose from

amazing service, our server rubi is amazing and just gives off such great energy. manager comes around and asks how the experience is which is amazing, really shows how much they care about the people walking through the doors

Service and food was fantastic. Best pancakes I've had since I was in Hawaii last year. I notice all the employees were attentive to tables as they walked by. For anyone who says they cannot get good service in an American restaurant, should eat at this place.

YUM! I had the berry bliss pancakes. I loved the vanilla mascarpone layered within the pancakes. I had Coke but it was fun watching them make fresh orange juice on the machine behind me. The flavor of the bacon was good. I personally prefer my bacon just a little crispier. The service was excellent. It was super crowded and they were still super attentive and friendly.

I was excited to finally try this place but didn't realize I already had through their sister restaurants, Butters! This is their original location where it all began. Same great service, food, and quality. It is bigger than the other locations and busier as many know. We had to go earlier in the morning. Otherwise, you have to wait outside with the crowds since there's no reservations.
Food is always good, and ingredients are high quality. They have amazing coffee and baristas and fresh squeezed juices. Highly recommend their OJ! The way they prepare their eggs are always made the best here. The service is fast and courteous, and managers sometimes do table touches, which is nice.

delicious food! wont go wrong with anything on their menu.. even coffee and the freshly squeezed juices are tasty.. service was the only thing not up-to the mark, at-least that was my experience.. there is always a big line and there are no reservations, its
first come first serve.. may be its the crowd that causes the servers to rush you to order!

The service ranks as exceptional for such a busy restaurant. The pancakes we light and fluffy, the sausages were tasty as was the grits. They weren't like southern grits but definitely had a unique flavor having me wanting more. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and delicious. My only disappointment was the eggs. They lacked flavor and tasted like they were microwaved. I would certainly go back based on their service. Plan on waiting 30-45 minutes for a seat.

Over 8 years taking my family here and if I could leave 6 stars I would!! Their food is absolutely out of this world good from the flavor, portion, and appearance! Which I have tried most items from the menu and some of my top picks you have to try: their homemade orange juice, biscuits & gravy, cinnamon roll pancake, and coffee!
Then their service is always excellent too which is really a must as their especially busy during rush hour on the weekends!

Atmosphere. He’s more homey, food apple pancake by the way is delicious bacon was delicious OJ out of this world. Sausage was very good eggs were very normal. Pancakes were awesome. Service was awesome very good however, I do be cautious though on the coffee coffee is a bit bitter so if you don’t mind bold, go forward, they do not offer any creamers such as French vanilla anything in that sort so make sure have your own vanilla creamers with you when you come here cause they’re not available are you gonna get is just normal milk this is my first time I will back

We arrived Sunday around 12:00pm for a brunch. Our wait was very short, maybe 20 minutes. The service was excellent! The crepes were amazing, so tender and melt in your mouth! The coffee was so flavorful and bottomless cup refillsl! Very busy place but well worth the wait. We will be back, maybe next time for the lunch menu!!! This I know will be my new favorite place for breakfast!!!

Seated reasonably fast even with a crowd. Wait staff fast enough if rather mechanical and seemed trained to turn tables as fast as possible. My Cobb salad was near perfection. Big, fresh, made by the numbers but delicious. My husbands omelette was as ordered but, nothing special. Looked rather machine made and lonely on a big white plate. Two pancakes were passable. The syrup bottle was a sticky, nasty mess and left hands dirty just to touch. The grits were a gummy nasty mess and give grits a bad name. I have eaten grits my whole life and these could have been used for brick mortar. Do not order ever!
So, overall it was ok. Nothing special. If you want ordinary food in a nice environment with mechanical but friendly staff and pay $3.00 for a glass of iced tea, then this is your place. Would we go again? Yes. Would we race to get there? No.

Been coming here regularly for years. Once a week and they always get it right. The servers are bar none amazing! The breakfast is to die for. Once you eat at butterfields, you won’t go for breakfast anywhere else. Best place hands down for breakfast in AZ!

Most definitely my favorite breakfast place in the whole metro area! Amazing staff and service, they truly seem like they really enjoy their jobs and are so friendly and full of smiles. Amazing food and large portions! And I just absolutely love that they have heavy cream for their coffee and they bring it in cute little pitchers ❤️ So much better than the little creamer packs that 90% of breakfast places use.

Not the best service was given! I had ordered both pancakes and eggs with my order and waited a while for pancakes waiter dropped off food and by the time I realized there was no eggs already gone and never came back until dropping off check! And asked for Orange juice and I got grape fruit!
