We absolutely LOVE the Best Stop! We live about an hour away but we go there about once a month to once every 2 months for their boudin and cracklin! You won’t regret going there! It’s not a big place but there’s alot of different meats there you can purchase! And there’s hot food! There’s always lots of people there!

While researching things for a trip through Louisiana, I came across a YouTube video for the boudin at the Best Stop. I’ve never had boudin (don’t recall seeing it anywhere in PA) so I was curious to try it.
We entered the store and noticed it was busy (good sign). After looking around we went to the hot food counter and ordered two types of boudin balls and a smoked boudin link. OMG, why hasn’t someone brought boudin to the northeast. The different boudin balls and the smoked link were absolutely delicious.
It’s been about 2 weeks since being at this place and I’m craving it. If you are anywhere close to this shop, Make sure you stop and try the boudin.

I grew up in Lafayette and since the 90s, this place has been a staple in the community. Their Cracklin, boudin, and stuffed chickens are the best I’ve ever had. Every time we come to visit I make sure to grab a bunch to bring back to Texas. We stopped by a couple of weeks ago and I brought my four-year-old there. I remember going to the store when I was his age! Such a great thing to see mom and Pop stores like this thrive for so many years.

Large parking lot for any size vehicle. They have fresh ready to eat items as well as frozen meats to bring home. Prices for frozen are not bad. The fresh items are a little pricey. The BBQ burger was ok. Cracklin was fantastic. Boudain was flavorful too!

Whether I’m in my car or 18 wheeler, if I have to pass this place, I’m stopping. The boudin and cracklins are the best I’ve ever had. The food, service and workers are excellent.

I’ve never been there but I’ve ordered from them and had smoked meats shipped to me here in south Fl. I made red bean and rice with their smoked andouille and Tasso . Took my first bite and got weak in the knees so damn good !!

Every visit home, I stop by the Best Stop and load up on some good food and head back to AL. Husband and son loves the fresh and smoked sausage. Usually pick up a few mini stuffed pork roast and got to have some crackling’s. No offense but the store in Scott can’t be beat. Stop by, you won’t be disappointed.
