Golden House

Now first off their food is really good and we order from them a lot; however lately when we ordered the separate container of sauce that comes with the steam dishes leaked and went all over the other food container's and the carton of rice. The whole bag was drenched with the sauce and now we have a steamed dish without any sauce. I called them back and told them what happened and they said they couldn't do anything but give us credit back when we order again the next time. Golden House....you need to put the side of sauce in a better leak proof container (plastic) in a different bag away from the other food. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Afraid to order again and have this same issue happen.

what happened to the quality? did they sell the restaurant to new owners? food used to be fresh and good portions, now its refried/reheated junk. General tso's combo was old chicken pieces. Did they take it from their buffet section to fulfill my order? Usually the container is packed with pieces of chicken. this time it was 6 pieces of old recooked chicken. can tell because its dry as a bone when you bite into it. sweet n sour chicken used to be fresh large pieces of chicken, now its little tiny pieces and some were dark brown and too hard to eat. refried and recooked old junk. everything tasted old and lacking flavor. I am sick of spending over $70 and getting old junk. I wont be buying anymore food from golden house. they have been progressively getting worse each time I order now. WHAT HAPPENED? How do you go from a 4-5 Star chinese takeout to 1-2 Stars?

Took over an hour to deliver the wrong order. Told me to come pick up the correct order, then refused to give it to me when I arrived. The older woman was screaming at me to pay them more money for their mistake. Refused to give me what I paid for or a refund. Terrible customer service, long delivery times and high prices for below average food.

It is never mandatory for a TIP! I gave a tip and maybe that’s all someone has in their budget… the driver calls me 3x to discuss the tip and then tells us we need to give him more tips! Something like this is a choice and it should never be DEMANDED. That is the ultimate problem here. The demanding demeanor. I’ve gotten deliveries from this place multiple times and no one has ever done this.

I ordered sesame chicken and it was not good at all. I will say the egg roll was delicious though. But, for some reason the sesame chicken was insanely hard and crunchy, I think it was seriously overcooked? It didn’t taste like the classic sesame chicken you get from take out places at all. I was really disappointed with it I didn’t even finish it. I feel bad even leaving this review but I’m hoping they will see this and make some positive changes.

The food is pretty good. It's a typical fast-food Chinese place. Pretty good food, good spring rolls, and most importantly - the delivery process is easy. Just call, or use an app like BeyondMenu, and order for it to be delivered. You'll usually get a call to tell you that they've arrived, and then you just eat at home. It's as easy as delivery gets. Pickup on the other hand... The interior makes it difficult to communicate with the staff in the kitchen. Oftentimes you'll be identified through your phone number. Outside of that, it's still relatively convenient. The price for delivery over pickup isn't a terrible difference.
