I can’t even tell you how many times my family and I have been to Garth Road Inn. We have all the staff as Facebook friends at this point! Burgers are amazing (but order curly/waffle fries), the homemade cole slaw is bomb, can’t go wrong with sirloin and whiskey sauce, chicken tenders are really good too, but most importantly GO TO BRUNCH. Westchester is sleeping on how absolutely stunning the Full Irish is here (pictured). Do yourself a favor and get extra beans (or don’t so I can eat them instead)
This local watering hole is by far one of the best places to be on any given night. Not only is the food great, especially if you're looking for a good Irish dish, but the staff are very warm and friendly. Whether you want to have a great time with the staff at the bar or just come to get a good meal in the dining area, it's hard not to have a good time.
PS they do have trivia night and it is a lot of fun. You can win free meals, appetizers, drinks, etc. You absolutely should come with a well rounded team, because their are some serious competitors here and they know their stuff!
This is one of the best pubs I've ever been to. The food is amazing, the servers are the nicest and funniest in the world, and the signs around the bar are hysterical. They are also one of the exceedingly few places I've been to that serves my favorite beer, Smithwicks. The wings are better at nearby Candelight, and the diner food is better at Parkway, which is walking distance from the pub but only open for breakfast and lunch, but the Chicken Pot Pie and Shepherd's Pie, as well as the rest of their Irish fare are to die for, as are all of their desserts.
I could not recommend this place more.
Wonderful Irish pub, with great pub grub. Huge portions, do you can take home and get two meals for the price of one. Went on Sunday night when there is live Celtic music played by an excellent band. No cover charge for the music.
Chicken fingers are really good.. there is a waitress named Lorraine there. She makes some really good drinks. If you like strong drinks and are feeling adventurous, have her come up with something for you. You can't go wrong!!
Typical Irish pub with funny signs all over the place. The grilled wings were fantastic, nice and crispy. They have a variety of Irish beers on tap like Smithwicks Murphys and Harp which was cool, but they didn't serve Guinness.
I'm a huge fan of the Garth Road Inn. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is comfortable, cozy and relaxed. Great bar for a bite and a beer or even if you want to spend the night out. The bar is never too crowded or uncomfortable and the crowd is mature. The food is excellent as many of my friends have tried numerous things on the menu, however, I stick to my usual favorites the burgers, wings, mozz sticks and the steak sandwich. Sometimes I'll get adventurous and have never been dissapointed. The Inn is a true neighborhood spot, but is also welcoming to newcomers and stoppers by. I particularly enjoy taking over the jukebox on the weekends, ths weekly trivia night, the brogues and smiles of the servers, and most importantly when they put on the RANGERS PLAYOFF GAMES. Lorraine, Alva, Michaela and Sharon (and others) do a wonderful job and work very hard to keep their returning clients (like me) happy, so cheers to The Garth Road Inn!!!
We recently had a party at The Garth Road Inn and it was perfect. The food was delicious and the staff took great care of us all. We were even able to bring and play a slide show on their television. I recommend this place to anyone who is trying to host an event of any kind.
I cannot say enough good things about the Garth road inn. They are your local cheers, the place you stop by for a bite on your way home from the train. The bartenders (ahem Lorraine) know your go-to drink and have it ready for you before you even sit down. I threw my fiancé a surprise 30th here and omg the staff was amazing. Not only did we have the best homemade chicken fingers and a ton of other apps passed but we had an awesome open bar, the waitstaff literally had everyone's order memorized and passed a fresh drink before they were even done. My fiancé was beyond surprised and we had the best time ever! I love the Garth road inn and even more so love Sharon and her crew. I highly recommend Garth road inn for any event as they will work with you above and beyond your expectations. Events are amazing but a weekday burger and beer is their specialty 😍
