Glad to finally have a dim sum place in Savannah and a decent one too. We had a dinner here and the food was great! We ordered about 5-6 different things from their dim sum menu and i liked all of them. I loved their dumplings and they even have chicken feet! For anybody who is not familiar with dim sum, it is basically small portions of food and it is great when you like trying different things. I noticed that they also do hot pot but we weren't able to try that when we went. I was too excited to try their dim sum. Although their food is great there are some things to keep in mind if you come here. The location is not the best. It is situated in a more shady part of Derenne and the restaurant's interior is not glamorous by all means. Ironically, the asian girl servers suck at their job (im also an asian and a restaurant server so this was shameful). I had to ask them for our bill because all they did was talk out loud to each other as if there were no costumers around. They didn't even bring our bill. A sweet black server gave us our bill, bussed the tables and made sure we were doing fine. Overall, this restaurant is great. Just beware of bad service.

This place is great! Love having good dim sum in Savannah. Definitely worth giving it a shot even if you've never had dim sum before.

Finally, Wonderful Dim Sum in South Georgia!. After several years of actively searching for a good dim sum restaurant since moving to South Georgia, we discovered Fire Wok on DeRenne Avenue by happenstance.
They have a great dim sum selection, and their menu even provides pictures for when you feel adventurous and want to order outside your usual (they don't have a dim sum cart but at least you know that your dish is absolutely fresh when it arrives). Fire Wok in particular does an outstanding job on their bun based dim sum (buns were super springy and soft) and the heat on their spicier dim sum choices is perfect ( a lot of heat but can still enjoy the flavor). For those that don't want dim sum, we noticed several surrounding tables ordering more familiar Chinese dishes, and the portions looked very large.
Fire Wok was definitely worth the hour drive to Savannah alone. We will be back!

Well Groupon showed me a coupon $15 for $30 at this Fire Wok restaurant that had dim sum...and I haven't had dim sum for a couple of years so I figured I would give it a try. When I got to the restaurant it turns out to be where ichiban buffet use to be...ichiban was not a very good buffet so I was not surprised that it had closed. Anyways I was weary when I went inside for lunch and I was the only customer...(more came later) but I decided to chance it anyways. I ordered from the dim sum menu but they also had regular menu and hot pot menu. I got the spicy pork ears, chicken feet, shrimp rice roll, fried calamari, sticky rice and chicken wrap, and seafood dim sum. When the food came out I was surprised by the portion size for the calamari, pork ears and chicken feet...it was alot of food...the fried calamari is equal to a $8-9 appetizer at any other restaurant and it was so good...better then most that I have tried. They gave me 6 chicken feet, other dim sum places usually only give 3. Also the sticky rice and chicken was delicious! The sea food dim sum was supposed to be 6 pieces? But I only got 4...still it tasted good and I was too full to ask for more. The only item that I felt was so so was the shrimp rice roll. Anyways overall I had a great lunch with lots of leftovers to take back. The waitress was super friendly and helpful...I will definitely come back again for the dim sum and to try the hot pot.

Best Chinese food ever! The food is so fresh and free of MSGs. Some people say it's bland but it's not weighed down with grease. A co-worker tried it after I brought it to work for leftovers and he remarked on the freshness as well! A must try!
