Debi's is a good restaurant with a great history. If you live in Savannah, this should be on your breakfast list. If you are traveling to Savannah for a longer trip, put it on your list for breakfast or lunch. If you are only going to be in Savannah for two days, skip this one. Unless you are a major Forrest Gump fan.
The food was good, just not particularly amazing. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere is good, it just is not in the same location as it was in the film.
We ordered fried green tomatoes and chicken & waffles. Both were great, but then again, you have no business running a restaurant in Savannah if you can't manage these staples.
If I lived in Savannah, I would go back. If I vacationed in Savannah again, I would probably skip this one.
Ate lunch here for the first time today. This place has a very cool atmosphere for sure. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered chicken tenders and fries. I also got mozzarella sticks. The chicken tenders were pretty good but a little over cooked, the fries were well seasoned, and the mozzarella was fried to perfection. I didn't care for the marinara though. The price was pretty fair. I'd definitely eat here again.
Very nice clean quiet place to eat. Folks are really friendly and service is fast and accurate. I had the traditional breakfast with scrabbled eggs, hash browns and grits and toast. Really tasty. Girlfriend had the traditional grilled cheese that was very basic, plain and dry. She wasn't too thrilled with it. We do recommend Debi's but not the grilled cheese sandwich.
This was a delightful find! The food was delicious and the portions were more than generous. Our waitress, Skye, was fantastic. My favorite part was the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's in the basement of a historical building, has exposed beams and bricks, and just feels welcoming and comfortable.
Delicious breakfast. Loved the loaded bowl of grits, and the chicken & waffles were a delight... especially the syrup!!! Adorable location, not unreasonably priced. Will return for dinner.
Mrs. Debi came out and spoke with my family that made the experience priceless. The food was delicious! The service was excellent! The parking was typical for downtown parking. I will definitely be back while in Savannah.
We came across this hidden gem while exploring Savannah for the first time and absolutely loved it! The food was so yum and homemade. The service was amazing and absolutely loved the ambiance. We even went back the next day for their homemade peach cobbler. Highly recommend and will come back during our next visit to Savannah
This was A GREAT restaurant that my wife and I just happen to stumble upon on our way to the river one morning. Food was delicious and service was impeccable. I had the Big Bay breakfast and my wife had the Two Egg breakfast. Both were so good that we decided we had to come back the next day for some homemade peach cobbler, with ice cream of course. HIGHLY recommend you eat here and you will not be disappointed. The hostess even remembered us and that was impressive in my opinion. If you are looking for some great food for a good price then make sure to stop here. I have it saved on my Google maps so I can remember to come back again when I'm ever in the area.
What a charming little spot. The staff is so welcoming. From the moment you walk down the stairs they make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is very home like. The food is absolutely delicious and homemade from scratch. Breakfast all day as well as lunch. The portions are huge. The selections are very southern style. I will definitely be returning.
I cannot say enough great about this place and our experience. The history in this building is intriguing.
They don't have a sign in wait, we had a small wait time but it was well worth it.
This family owned & operated slice of historical goodness has become my husband and I new favorite in 1 visit!
He ordered the chicken & Belgium waffle with a homemade peach, walnut maple syrup was outstanding!
I ordered the New Orleans Crab Stack...WOW! Fried green tomatoes in between homemade crab cakes, a remoulade sauce, 2 eggs and home fries.
Both these were amazing to the last bite. The price was well within reason for each item.
The coffee was great! Normally I use cream & sugar.. I drank it black!
