We’ve been members for a few years, and it’s well-worth the affordable membership. Since we live on the north side of SF, it’s just a quick drive across the GG Bridge for us, which means it’s an every weekend option to keep the kids busy for a few hours. There’s a great mix of indoor & outdoor spaces, and my twins (5 yo) and daughter (2.5 yo) are all able to find activities to stimulate both their brains and their bodies. The only knock I have is on their limited food options, but we mostly just end up bringing our own food. Also, the parking lot fills up early, so be prepared to walk a little if you’re not here early on weekends; I’d suggest arriving no later than 10am or coming after 11am to pick off a spot opening up from early departures.
One of the best children’s museums in the country. This place is so well done. A perfect mix of tons of activities and things to play with, explore, and do. I had to drag my 3 & 7 year old out after 5 hours but they easily could have stayed all day.
I appreciated the mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, along with how they’re broken into different categories. My daughter loved the art building and making cardboard creations. My son loved the unique outdoor playground spaces.
The cafe on site has a good mix of healthy and fun foods although was out of numerous items.
The staff throughout the whole place were so professional, attentive, and helpful.
The place is truly gorgeous - scenic views of the Golden Gate Bridge included.
I wish more cities had a place this amazing for kids!
Perfect place for our 3 and 6 year old. We had no time limits and the kids never ran out of new areas to explore. Staff is all warm and friendly and all the families there were lots and calm. Great place to bring the family
Beautiful kids museum, with the Golden Gate Bridge as the backdrop. The installations were interactive. My toddler didn't want to leave. Will definitely come back!
I love this place !!! The activities and different rooms are diverse and fun to explore. They have a cardboard room where you can make your own cardboard toy, a car that you can paint with huge paint brushes, a house with appliances and furniture cut into halves for kids to explore how they are inside or how they work, a nice and big sand area overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, a big boat with things inside to play and explore, a huge play structure, and many more. The staff is super friendly and kind, there is an area to eat, but be sure to take your own packed lunch and water cause there are no cafes or restaurants to get food. Overall, it’s an amazing place for kids !!!
Such a beautiful place for adults and kids alike! We enjoyed the museum and the surrounding nature. Amazing views of the Golden Gate Park, and in an area that’s not too blocked up with traffic. Definitely a gem to check out!
One of the best museums in the Bay Area! My 2 years old loves it here. Nice view, lots of parking!
There is always something new to learn and experience. I have 3 different age children ( 2 years old, 10 and teenager) they all find something to learn and to entertain themselves. The place has great view to the Golden Gate Bridge. It is very enjoyable for adults to, great to spend easily 2-4 hours, to have lunch. It has big parking in front. Always clean and safe.
Just wow. Bring your kids and 2-10. Great views of the golden gate, lots of activities, encourages adventure play and imagination.
This place is an incredible place for kids, nothing like it in any other city in the world, it offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities and constantly being updated with new programming
