I am from Utah and I still DREAM about this restaurant! I go to San Fran once a year and always make it a priority to come here. It is by far my favorite restaurant of all time. I tell anyone who is going to San Fran, to go to Sausalito just to go to this place. The view is outstanding. You can see San Fran if you sit outside. The interior is absolutely beautiful. The food is decadent and unique and so flavorful!

What a great restaurant with an amazing view. Food was ok but we only tried the short rib. Drinks were on point here though. Old fashioned was one of the best I’ve had. Definitely worth checking this place out if you are in the area.

We sat in the lounge because you have to sit in the bar or lounge to take advantage of happy hour. We sat on the couch with a little table in front of us and a window behind with a few of downtown Sausalito. There was a sign saying to order at the bar, but somebody ended up coming up to us and taking our order. For happy hour I got an $8 chardonnay and my partner got a $10 cocktail of the day, which was sangria. We shared the avocado egg rolls and mushroom ravioli which were both very good. My partner also seemed to enjoy the salmon tacos. Overall, a barrel of a good time.

It was my first time in Sausalito and it definitely did not disappoint. Amazing place to have lunch or dinner over looking San Francisco. Just an breathtaking view nightly recommended. The food was delicious and the services was spectacular. Will definitely come back.

We chose this place on chance... because it's neighbors were so expensive, and were happily pleased. The food was great. The shrimp risotto had big juicy pieces of shrimp. The half Crab had tasty noodles and excellent Crab. The views alone were well worth the experience.

Both manager and our server were very kind. Clam chowder was good. And tacos with salmon were so spicy but we enjoyed. I want to visit again when I go there.

Amazing views and food to go with it! If you're lucky enough to have a window or balcony seat you will have stunning views across the bay of San Francisco (if the fog isn't there of course!). The food here is also great with a variety of dishes for all tastes with lots of local options available too. There are also many cocktails available which are great but maybe a little expensive. My favourite part was the dessert which was a great finish for me. Would recommend to anyone in Sausalito!

I’m glad I picked this place for lunch. I was there with my son and we had seatings over looking the water. What a stunning view!! We enjoyed every minute of it! The food and drinks were good and the service was excellent! We definitely will be back.

We sat outside on the deck with the heat lamps keeping us warm. Had a lovely lunch with the best grilled chicken on my salad and delicious carrot cake for dessert. Will definitely be back if we are in the area again!

Greeted and seated right away, at a window table overlooking the bay. Great drink and food menu with wide range of options and price-points. Server knew the drink menu and recommended options not on the menu that fit that we were looking for which were delicious (raspberry margarita and Moscow mule). Burgers and fries were cooked well, aioli sauce on the side was delicious as well! Definitely would come back.

I was seated right away.
The server rolled his eyes at me when I asked about the specials posted outside.
I got the half crab with pasta. Was pretty good. I did have to ask for an extra plate for my shells. The service was meh. The hostess was more attentive than my server. Payed about 120$ for 6 oysters, half a crab and garlic bread.

The food was good, but the highlight here is the scenery. The price was a bit expensive for a four person lunch (almost $40/person), but otherwise it was a high quality meal. I would probably explore local options before this place because of the price, but I wouldn’t hesitate if a table was open.

“Tavern” may imply an establishment lacking sophistication and modern appeal — this place is anything but. Upscale but approachable dining, unreal views, high quality cocktails, and unsurpassed quality. The staff was accommodating and helpful. Thanks for a BARREL of joy!

So happy we picked Barrel House Tavern for our little family “reunion” dinner. Our server, Natala was very personable and helpful. The food and drink menu had a nice selection & we enjoyed everything we ordered! Can’t complain about that view & the vibe of the atmosphere was great. Would recommend!!

Great Bayside views. Attentive service. And fabulous food. I had the Grilled Salmon with Couscous as a mains. Very well made. The outdoor terrace is worth it if the weather is good.

Stopped in here for dinner during Father's Day weekend in 2023. It is a definite visit/dine location if you are in Sausalito. The location is perfect. Great views of San Francisco. Water and all things SFO. The service was perfect. Reservation recommended. Parking in the area in lots or street with meters. The food well made and served nicely. The décor is equally fitting and the ambiance is perfect. The dining floor is upstairs so have to take stairs. There is a small patio area for sitting and can sit on a bar front facing the water which can be good fun on good days. Highly recommended!
