Today was my BFF birthday and we had a full day of fun. Decided to try Seafood Peddler restaurant. From the time we arrived, during and as we left everything was perfect. Thank you to the crew. Our serve is amazing and joked with us. We loved our Oysters, Calamari, Eggs Benedict, Fish and Chips. Everything perfectly done. We will be back. Seafood Peddler is a must.

Every other restaurant was at least 1 hour wait list but tables were available here. Why is that? Maybe because the front door is hidden in the back, off the main street. We took a chance and ate here. Good thing we did. The food is very solid. We ordered the chowder and it did not disappoint- lots of potatoes, bacon, clams and rich too. No wonder it was 2016 chowder bowl champion. The lobster roll is a bit on the small side - a short brioche bun served with fries and slaw. The shrimp and lobster Louie salad had more fixngs than described in the menu - the salad was the Mediterranean with eggs, tomatoes, olives, avocado, and lemon wedge. Comes with a healthy amount of shrimp & lobster. I got extra dressing and the salad was great from start to finish ; surprisingly filling too.
It was a lovely day and bright with a view of the docks.

Such a great experience today for lunch. Passing through delightful Sausalito, we were hungry for seafood. I got the braised halibut special which was fantastic and my guy got fish and chips. The server was extremely friendly and fun to talk with. It was quiet when we came here, we were the only ones in the dining area at 11:30 am today. I loved the classy ambience. Swing era jazz playing over head, old school seafood restaurant feel. Highly recommended.

This place is a little tucked away in Sausalito but it is a lovely place to eat. I had the classic fish and chips which as a Brit I can approve of! The salad was also good and the complimentary bread was a lovely touch as well. Some of the things of the menu are quite pricey but then so is everything else in the area so is to be expected! Definitely consider the specials when visiting too

The lobster is so good with fair price
Too full to try the desert, but it looks also good.

Would comeback again.

Waterside dining in Sausalito. Great location and view, very spacious and plenty of tables inside and outside. Well curated music and warm service. Tables were cleaned between each course and drinks filled promptly.
The food was more of traditional seafood cuisine. Warm bread and butter were served.
We ordered:
4*New England Clam Chowder is the signature dish. It was good, rich and creamy with clams chunks and potatoes.
3*The Peddler Shellfish Trio included 2 Blue Point Oysters, 2 cocktail prawns, Dungeness crabmeat: the crabmeat was very good, shrimps were good, and we didn’t care for the oysters.
4*Mixed Grill included grilled wild gulf prawns, Maryland style lump crab cakes & grilled fresh, Monterey baby calamari: interesting assortment of well cooked seafood, fresh and flavorful.
4*De Cecco Linguine Pescatore: included Maine lobster, littleneck clams, wild prawn, scallops, fresh Monterey baby calamari, and Alaskan cod. Cooked with fresh tomato sauce and extra virgin olive oil: the portion was big, seafood was tender and good. Flavor wasn’t strong, and I appreciate that the cook didn’t put that much salt in. It was traditional and good.

The crabs, oysters, and clams here are fantastic. I'm sure we had a better meal than any of them. Not to mention the wonderful scenery and delicious beer!

The service was excellent, but we felt the clam chowder was too watery.
I had fish and chips and it was excellent. The cole slaw was just okay.
Perhaps we caught the restaurant on a bad day, as the reviews for the chowder were the reason for the visit.
The fish and wine selection was good.
