We happened to stumble upon this place visiting Soo Locks! It was excellent! We really got there just in time before they closed for the season, and were out of a few things, but that didn’t hinder the experience at all. In order, we got the Whitefish Basket with sweet potato fries, the club sandwich, and the whitefish dinner with wild rice and mashed potatoes. Kyle, our server was very kind! Everything was absolutely delicious. I personally had the whitefish basket, and as someone who doesn’t eat a lot of fish or had never tried whitefish before, this was a great choice. Thanks Kyle for a great experience! Can’t wait to come back again one day!
Delightful step back in time restaurant. Our dinner at Lockview was wonderful, from food to service 5 stars. This place feels so nostalgic and representative of the region. We were seated right away on the main floor and taken care of by Mandy who was likely the sweetest girl in the Sault.
We ordered traditional dinner plates which come with two choices of sides. Delicious! If you want a good meal at a good price this is the place. Head over to the park across the street to watch the boats come through.
Great breakfast. I ordered the southern omelette, and added mushrooms, and it is fantastic and delicious.
Just good solid comfort food in a home-cooked (diner?) style. Staff was friendly, accommodating and attentive.
Also it was only $12.51, so this place is a excellent value and I will absolutely recommend eating here for breakfast again tomorrow.
It was recommended to me to come here for the fresh caught fish, I'll have to come another time to try those offerings.
OMG! This place is amazing! Kyle was our waiter and he is simply marvelous! He's been with this restaurant for 9 years and knows everything about it! Quit with answers and suggestions. Everything was delicious. Drinks and food! Beware of the Lake Eerie Iced Tea. Lol 😂 it'll get you where you want to be quick!
Will definitely be taking all future guests to eat here and meet Kyle!
I am usually disappointed by fish I eat at restaurants, but I got the Cajun grilled walleye and it was one of the best fish meals I've had at a restaurant. The restaurant is very vintage style yet updated. Great vibes, great food great staff. The parking out front stops charging after 5pm. Also there are plenty of gluten free options on the menu, both grilled fish and Cajun seasoned.
Great Walley and Crab Legs. Waitress was good. Some customers were loud and disruptive but no fault of the establishment. The second meal here today. Breakfast was good as well.
Really good food! We had the Whitefish baskets... The fish was very good and the fries were very hot and crispy! The staff is very friendly and does a great job. Check out this place. The parking is street parking. You'll have to walk from where you park to the restaurant. It's not a big deal though. I hope you'll enjoy this restaurant as much as we did. Check it out! The atmosphere was casual and not too loud.
Excellent food, wonderful service! Lake Superior Whitefish, baked potato, and broccoli was amazing! Watch the big ships go by as you eat. Must visit when in town!
Great food and drinks! We had the margarita, sangria, and Bloody Mary- all were awesome. The perch basket was excellent and the turkey club was loaded with turkey. Our server (Mandy) impressively noticed two of us switched drinks and offered to remake something for us if we didn’t like our drink. There was no problem, rather we just liked each other’s drinks better. Only downside was the upstairs was closed so there wasn’t a view of the locks from our table. Not a huge deal as we were headed over there after.
All I have to say is oh my goodness, this is the best fish I have in a long time. I had the Whitefish with Cajun batter, a side of pountine, and Pastie all dishes were fantastic. I cannot say enough about the food, flavors and the local beers I had the brown and red. Everything was exceptional, if you are in the area you must stop here. I am glad we did.

UNFORTUNATELY, I got the Hot Roast Beef recently, and they changed the gravy. The gravy was nowhere near as good as it used to be.

We stopped in here for breakfast the other day, and it was delicious!!!!
My husband had the steak and eggs. The steak was very tender and well seasoned. I had the Monte Cristo....it was very tasty..I think that the French toast should have had a bit of a crisp to it, but that's my opinion.
My son had the sausage biscuits and gravy. He gobbled it up, so I'd say it was good also...
They open at 7 am, which is earlier than the other breakfast places, so YAY!
The waitress was very friendly...

I have only eaten here a couple of times, but I do enjoy eating in a restaurant that has a view. The prices are a little high for the service and the food selection. In my opinion. but it is a tourist place. On my last visit, however, I ordered the hot roast beef, and it was exactly what I was looking for...it has that good dark school cafeteria (or if anyone out there remembers Kmart cafeteria) gravy. Yum!
The breakfast Steak and Eggs dish is excellent!! And a great value for the price. Shawna was our server, friendly and attentive. Kenny was the "chef" during our visit...the food and atmosphere was wonderful. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant at our next visit to Sault St Marie!!
Good food and our waitress, Liza, was excellent! The cheese curds were good, but nothing special. I'd never had spicy corn and clam chowder, but it was good as well. The pan fried whitefish was tasty. My wife had the club sandwich, and she said it was really good.
I took my husband out for his birthday lunch & we enjoyed a really good broiled whitefish meal. Great soup & baked potato too. He also had the steak & wild rice. No complaints! Waitress Jenn Jo was great.
We were seated right away, had a fantastic and attentive waitress.
The food was out super fast and was still steaming hot!
The waitress kept hubbs coffee filled and joked with us a lot.
Pretty cool place, if we go back to the soo, I’ll definitely eat here again!!
