We were so glad we found this place through Harvest Host on our travels. The place is a gem. Loved the food and owners. They are so inviting and accommodating. The gluten free pizza and bagels were delicious while the beer selection was extensive. The decor was fun and the music pristine. We will definitely be back by.
This was my first time here and will definitely be back since it was fantastic! The Full Monty pizza was probably the best pizza I have had in a long time and the beers on tap and in the can were great. I cannot wait to go back.
Pizza toppings were delicious but the crust tasted like it had been frozen, not worth the price. Nice selection of sour beers and awesome servers! Place filled up for Karaoke so we snuck out 😆
The selection of beverages was mind blowing! Enjoyed live music, brews and pizza in the back yard. Wonderful!
This is, by far, my favorite bar in all of Sarasota. I've been going to this place now for 11 years and it's always been so warm and inviting every single time. The beer selection has something for everyone. The food is simple and always fresh. The crowd is always laid back and friendly. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't prefer to shout and fight over loud music and ruckus to get their order.
We hopped in here on a Monday night and were pleasantly surprised at what we found. It was open mic night and the place was filled with talent. We had the meatball sub, Italian sandwich, and hot pretzels. The food was really good. They had tons of great beer choices, including a good selection of dark beers. Staff was super friendly and helpful. This place also loves dogs and there were 3 present including mine. One of the dogs even accompanied his owner on stage. We will definitely be back.
Surprising fun place. Not much to look at, but an amazing selection of draft and bottled beers and ciders, wines, and good food. Flat breat pizza and giant hot soft pretzels were delicious. Rustic but fun. I'd go back for sure. Definitely agree with the 4.5 star rating. Went on a Thursday after work so our group was pretty much the only ones. Not sure how it gets on other nights.
Good selection of craft beers. Friendly owners. Threw some hatchets at the wall! Was a good time!
I've been coming to this bar for almost a decade - even made it a point to stop in, every time I visited Sarasota after moving to Manhattan.
This is by far my favorite place to drink, anywhere. I've traveled quite a bit, and I can say that Cock & Bull Pub is right up there with some of the best beer gardens in the world. The ultimate beer selection, very reasonable prices, amazing staff, awesome events, great bar food, and a very welcoming atmosphere.
Over the years the bar has been updated and expanded since moving to its current location, though it has always retained its defining qualities. The bar has also become somewhat of a music venue, and quite often has live music in the large outdoor area.
Also, I don't recommend trying one of the soft pretzels with beer-cheese, they are not only delicious, but highly addictive...
We’ve found a wonderful spot in Fruitville! When we walked up on the porch, we were greeted by several locals who just charmed our socks off!
The pizza was amazing, the draft beers were numerous, music was great! Howie and Dawn were smiling throughout the evening! The New York bagels were delicious and apparently a local favorite!
