Chianti Ristorante Italiano

We had a surprise birthday party in the back room and the food and service were amazing. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. Every appetizer, drink and main course were served hot and fresh. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is laid back Italian. I highly recommend Chianti Ristorante if you are craving Italian food.

Sophia was a fantastic server. She went out of her way to answer questions we had about the wine selections & entrées. Food was delicious & served hot. The manager took her aside, don't know why. But it was very apparent she was being called out on something & it was not handled in a professional manner. As a former business owner, when someone does something wrong, you discretely ask them into the office to talk. Not in front of customers. She returned to our table, very apparent she had been crying. I would certainly ask for her again.

We forgot to make a reservation, and they were very busy. Instead of the normal sarasota response of, "You will have to wait." The manager and host were very communicative and welcoming - we were sat within ten minutes. The drink prices were very low for a large pour, and the manager came out and recommended wines with our appetizers and entrees - the wines were all Italian, and perfect pairings. The entrees were very large portions for the price, and delicious - their Lasagna is a massive portion, and just incredible. Because it was our first visit, we received free after-dinner Limoncello, which is homemade and Amazing! From the Host to the Manager, everyone was so kind and welcoming. This is my new home for Italian food in Sarasota.

I am from Boston and have been to the North End and Providence RI for some of the best Italian food on earth. Saying that, I have spent the last night and morning wondering if Chianti Ristorante was the best of all of them. Yep, Chianti is surreal and delicious. It’s a place that requires a reservation. Don’t risk your ability to dine here on chance. You can’t go wrong with whatever you order. I tried whatever everyone ordered. We were all freaking out and excited about our unique orders. Like the chicken parm, we all agreed it was the best we ever tasted. That’s weird. How could that be? Well it is so deal with it.
