The Bodhi Tree Cafe

This was a great find on our first night in Sarasota. We typically look for good Italian first, and with many restaurants with Mediterranean cuisine to chose from in the area this was the one that stood out. The restaurant is on a little side street where the buildings reminded me a Old Town Key West. Sit outside and enjoy your meal even more. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive. My Chicken Cacciatore was top-notch with fall off the bone meat melted in my mouth. The pasta was cooked perfectly and ragu reminded me of grandma’s. Enjoy a relaxing evening at the Bodhi Tree Cafe and you won’t be disappointed. Grazie mille!

This is the place for a relaxing, delicious, inspired dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Dine in the Buddha-laden garden or on the porch or inside, where photographs of Italy by owner and chef Oscar Revelli are displayed as well as "must have" jewelry designed and created by Carolina Revelli (Contessa Jewels) is available to purchase. Enjoy a perfect date spot, business lunch or vino and dessert at the bar. Visit this hidden jewell in Towles Court - you will return!

I cannot believe this food! I had the most amazing #vegan gnocchi and vegan eggplant parmigiano! I was in Sarasota for work and my boss who is also a foodie, took me to this place. I'm in heaven, I don't think I'll ever be able to eat Italian food anywhere else! I'm already looking forward to coming back to Sarasota so I can eat here again!!!

What an amazing little restaurant this is! I came here for lunch, ordered the chicken kabob, and WOW! Such a talented chef in the kitchen there! I was so amazed with the beautiful and tasty entree. We ordered hummus as well, but it was so delicious we gobbled it all up before we could even take a picture. The inside is quaint and well decorated, and the wait staff seemed happy and energetic. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some quality, refreshing Mediterranean cuisine.
