The fire department HAD to test the alarm system while we were there which was annoying. I loved the food which was plentiful. We had the special house appetizer plate which was wonderful. We had a shrimp salad and a spicy soup, couldn't finish.

We’ve been going to Pho Cali since 1997. Why do we keep going back? Delicious food! Friendly and efficient staff. We enjoy chatting with Harrison, the owner. We take friends and family to Pho Cali. #78 a favorite, Vietnamese pancake, chicken curry, beef pho and fried rice are all favorites.

Simply delicious. Great service. Reasonable prices. Healthy food. Friendly staff. Good portions. Clean restaurant. I've been coming here for the last 13 years, at least, and have not been disappointed. 😊

They have the best Pho, bun dat biet, and fried rice in town. We refuse to eat at any other Vietnamese restaurant but here.

Updated June 2023: it's been a year or so since I reviewed this place but our most recent visit yesterday left us feeling the food quality was not up to their usual standards. I hope this was a one-off bad night versus an indication that they are slipping. Customer service and ambiance remain great. I will update this after our next visit. Lowered food rating to 4 Stars, for now.
Best Vietnamese in the Sarasota region. Worth the drive up from Venice/Englewood. Clean, quick, tasty and authentic with vegan options. I recommend the banh zero/Vietnamese Pancakes. And their noodle bowls are the excellent.

There are few Vietnamese food options around here so when you have a craving, this place is ok. The clay pot pork was tasty but I had to spoon off half an inch of cooking oil before I could eat it. The garden rolls were good. When the pho came, we had to ask for the basic sriracha and hoisin. Weird! The quail wings were very good.

Great menu selection. Food was delicious. Place is clean and service is great. Location downtown is perfect.

Very yummy- We came in for lunch and was seated immediately. Service was wonderful, and the food was also great. Ordered the coconut lemongrass chicken and the grilled beef and rice lunch specials. I can’t wait to come back with my friends.
