Ate here 3 times on my 5 night visit. Breakfast (Hungarian Porkchops) was out of this world good, had the Goulash for lunch, outstanding, and the scallops with wild mushroom risotto and bone marrow for dinner- phenomenal!! Go here early and often!

Cute, local spot.
We ate breakfast here on a Saturday morning, it wasn't too busy when we arrived but started to pick up by the time we left. The restaurant has lovely outdoor seating spaces with arbors and umbrellas. The inside seating was very comfortable too. I wasn't sure about the chairs when I looked at them but they were actually quite cozy.
Service was friendly and efficient. A lot of their food is created in house, like the sausage, and potato pancakes, both were delicious. I also liked the arugula and tomato on my plate, in fact I've eaten arugula and tomatoes with my eggs ever since I've gotten home! I really liked the atmosphere, it was like old school diner meets Boho Chic. The cook would ding his bell when orders were ready to be picked up but you didn't feel like you were sitting in the kitchen like you do at some restaurants.
Prices were reasonable and on par with what you pay for breakfast at most places these days.
I would definitely go back and recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.

We sat outside and had a lovely meal. Hungarian run the place and they have great goulash and paprikash.

We've been coming to Sunnyside for 6 or 7 years now. We visit Sarasota several times a year, and lately have been staying near the airport so we're within easy walking distance of Sunnyside. Usually come for breakfast, but have had great experiences for lunch and dinner too. Chef Tamas is a master at producing gourmet meals, and we continue to be blown away with the quality of food everytime we visit.

We were looking for a lunch spot near Ringling. Sunshine Cafe had good reviews so we checked it out. Nice menu, very clean, very good service. I had the chicken panini and my husband had the burger. Plent of food, nothing pre-made. Eva was on the premises. Definitely worth checking out.
PS the lights over the counter need dusting, but the rest of the place was very clean!
Oh ! And Coke in a real bottle!!!

Awesome food and nice service! They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. We' ve been there for dinner and would love to come back for breakfast. A delight after days of American fast food.

My favorite Hungarian though not only Hungarian Restaurant.
I craved for Goulash soup that comes with home made pita. First freshly sqeezed orange juice, that shamefully not many places offer right here in Florida. The rich soup filled me up so I took home a slice of delicious Hungarian Esterhazy Torte.
Craving for great food mission done.
