Veronica Fish And Oyster

This place is a nice gem in the heart of Sarasota. We came here for my birthday. The food is very fresh and expertly prepared. I haven't had octopus like that since I was in Costa Rica... you can cut it with a fork, as you should! The ambience is nice; they have couches with tables that gives a lounge vibe along with traditional dining tables. One thing to note: it gets very loud inside. The service was excellent. You can tell the manager really cares about the patrons' experience. My only issue was the prices. It's pretty cha-ching so if you come here, expect to spend between $30 and $80 PER PERSON, especially if you get drinks. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

New favorite! This restaurant is a true gem! This was our first time. Beautiful place with the nicest staff. Great cocktails and the best oysters in a long time. Had the redfish special and the whole snapper thai style. Located in a more nieghborhood setting and valet parking took the parking anxiety out of downtown Sarasota dining on a saturday!

Love coming to Veronica every time we are in the Sarasota area. Fantastic food, drinks, and great atmosphere. You must try the potato rolls, so so good! The avocado crab appetizer is really good too. Our favourite dish is the Thai Crispy Snapper. What an amazing dish, a full fried snapper with all the sides necessary to make amazing fish lettuce wraps, the Thai dressing on the side is amazing. Everything here is delicious!

Third time here. It's become my wife's fav birthday place. Parking was weird this time because you used to be able to park in the back because street parking so limited but now it's all valet parking. The attendant was very nice about it. We were promptly seated to find a bucket with champagne waiting for us. It was a surprise from our son and daughter-in-law. Sue C was an excellent server and made our dinner so much more pleasant. Food was exceptional as always although I wish they had a little more extensive menu. I understand it's better to have fewer great options than a large number that is more difficult to offer. Piece of cake with candle was a very nice touch. Great place.

I have been to Veronica’s twice and both times it delivers on every step of the dining experience. Most importantly every dish we have gotten has delivered on taste and execution. A surprise favorite of mine is the skirt steak with Mexican inspiration and bold flavors, Yum! Also this place has made me rethink my hesitation to oysters. The oysters are so clean and fresh that they are a must have every time I go. Combine the tastiness of the food with such an enjoyable vibe& interior you got a restaurant that is on top of my list in Sarasota.

Such a fun spot! I was with three girlfriends and we sat inside at a corner window table. Sue was our (fabulous!) server. The cocktails were good. The wine list has plenty of good selections. I had the avocado crab appetizer and it was fabulous! For dinner I had the special which was halibut served alongside the most interesting and delicious salad; arugula, cilantro, mint and lump crab. This might have been my favorite thing!!!! I loved the vibe and fun decor. I can’t wait to go back!
