Sam's Donuts

Honestly I ran out of stars. Paul is a mad scientist wish a doctorite in butter and sugar. And he is hellbent on bringing waistbands back into vogue. 3 years ago my kids and I decided to start our school days searching for the best donut shop in town. We found sams and stop looking, Now 3 years later Paul, the owner of Sam's has invented something new and it has changed my definition of pastry. All I can say is try their croissant bites

This donut shop and mini mart is absolutely wonderful! The donuts are great, sure, but the ham egg and cheese croissant... I'm pretty sure it is the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten and it's only 6 bucks! She cracked fresh eggs, the ham was good quality, cheese was delicious and the croissant was just right! The woman who has helped me each time I've been in is incredibly sweet and generous.

Sam's is a Santa Rosa donut institution. They are the quintessential mom-and-pop donut shop with the classic variety of homemade donuts. They've been around forever. As a newcomer to the area it was great to find them when we're in the mood for that Saturday morning donut fix. Their prices are extremely reasonable at $12 for a dozen donuts. There's also a small convenience fee if you pay with plastic. But again for 12 donuts it's just hard to beat their price. They also have a small convenience store inside where you can pick up a number of other items but I've never actually wandered that part of the store. They're also in a fantastic location that's easy to get in and out of and the parking lot is never too crazy.
