Beautiful views of the beach, delicious fresh seafood options, fun atmosphere. Best restaurant in Blue Mountain! We really enjoyed our visit to this cool spot. Service was excellent, Ashley was excellent. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. Got the fried shrimp and costal slaw, and crab soup! YUM!
What a great find. Just stopped in for a quick app, because we had an early dinner planned for somewhere else and ended up splitting the roasted oysters, Blackened grouper sandwich, and topped it off with key lime pie. We wanted the top deck but it was full and a little windy so we took to the patio on the lower deck. great view of the ocean and was amused with the little birds and the traffic. As a matter of fact a man lost his load out of the truck and patrons of the restaurant, manager all went to help. No one was honking and getting bad it was a calm peaceful place with friendly people all around. Our service was spot on friendly and even the manager checked in on us. The sandwich was a bit pricier than I expected $36 (MP) but it was amazing along with the coleslaw, which I went home and tried to create....almost but not quite. DO NOT PASS this gem up when close by and you want everything excellent!
We have been referred to Shunk Gulley multiple times.We just have not had the opportunity. Tonight we finally did and the only thing that we are upset about is that we have not come here sooner!!!! The service, the atmosphere, and the food are five stars!!! Danielle is our server and she has been amazing! The music is live, but not overwhelming. It is so enjoyable. You can still have a conversation and the views of the water are incredible. We had the fall grouper dish, the blue crab soup, and the quinoa salad. Every single thing we tried was amazing.

Fun atmosphere, especially upstairs. We called during the day on Monday and they said they start getting busy around 5pm. We got there at 5 and it was already an 1.5hr wait. Which is not their fault, but go early! We sat upstairs at one of the perimeter bar tops-there is one in front of the ocean, we sat on other side it was still a beautiful view and you could still see the ocean. ! It is all open so the breeze is amazing, but the bartender closes the shades for the sun when needed! The bartender was awesome and made my boys yummy virgin frozen drinks and was so friendly! We sat downstairs for our meal, they were busy so it took a bit for some things, but a great one man guitar player started shortly after we sat down and it was perfect for us. My brother and sister in law got 12 oysters (picture) and they said they were good, they looked big! Other meals my family was happy with-snapper special, burgers, Flounder sandwich, my mom said the gulf shrimp was just fried shrimp. I couldn't decide, but ultimately went with the appetizer lime shrimp with coastal slaw, it was one if the best meals I've ever had! It was a great pprtion! We had 11 people and gratuity was added, which is common.
We were visiting Ft. Walton Beach and a native mentioned 30A. I didn’t know I was I for an awakening with my family. The wait wasn’t long and we were able to view the beach. Blessing our waiter Carlton was a pure enjoyable from the beginning to the end. For the first time I trusted his words on what to
eat. So let’s begin oyster 10:10, crab fingers in savory butter sauce 10:10, blacken grouper sandwich 10:10 have me craving it again today, salad with blackened chicken and their ranch dressing 10:10, chicken tenders 10:10 although my son wouldn’t share he enjoyed. Bushwaker with Godiva 10:10. As you can see no complaints and they love the fries with the garlic it was a pleasure speaking to Leah I could say an talk to each of them for hours but I know they have a job to do. Great experience, great food, great service and definitely great customer service and atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back to Shunk Gulley.

Always a favorite of ours when visiting Blue Mountain Beach! There is always a wait, but we can get in within the hour. Our server was excellent overall, but failed to deliver tater sauce and straws to our table upon request. The place was packed so I'm sure he was busy! The shrimp basket is always my favorite. Oysters are fresh and BIG! We tried the shrimp appetizer, key lime, and it was incredible! Ordering drinks at the bar while we are waiting is always a plus. Overall, another great visit at Shunk Gulley!!
We just stopped in for drinks and an appetizer, and boy was the smoked Ahi tuna good!! We were able to sit by the bar overlooking the ocean, and the breeze is really nice coming off the water. It was easy to get in and out of, the staff was very friendly. So I would say it's worth returning to next time we come down.
This review is for takeout only. We got takeout for 5 people on 7/29/23 and brought it to the beach. We got the utensils and napkins ourselves and had to ask for the condiments, so if you’re doing takeout, make sure to get what you need! They got everything in our order right and it was ready in 25 minutes, even though they were super busy! Very impressed!
I got the Shunk Burger ($18), which was good and a decent size. We all split the Beignet Fries ($12), which were good, but not a must-try. My husband got the Grouper Sandwich (MKT - $30), and he raved about it. He said it was super good. Not many vegetarian options though - they only have the quinoa salad for veggies.

Clam bisque was delicious. Burger was amazing, only lack salt on it. Coleslaw was the best that I have eaten.
Friend snapper was delicious, but a little expensive, $34 for a few pieces.
Fries fried on fat duck, it does not worth the upgrade, soggy and bland.
We made sure to go earlier than we would normally eat but not too crazy early. It was definitely crowded already, but we were immediately seated since we took an outside seat.
Our server and the staff were excellent, answering questions and taking care of everything we needed.
The food was good. Both my son and daughter ate the majority of their food without question. We all ate and enjoyed everything we ordered.
