Ma'kai - Santa Monica - Photo album

I can't believe how good the food at Ma'Kai was last night. They revamped the menu and everything we ordered was delicious. We'll be making this one of our regular spots in Santa Monica and are recommending it to everyone. If you're wondering if you should check it out, just do it. The food is amazi
Service and food here is excellent! Everybody is very friendly, our server Makyla went above and beyond to please us and make sure we were happy, we got there during brunch hour but we really wanted something from the menu that they didn't start serving until after but she made it happen for us! Tha
Nice spot to catch a sunset; great Happy Hour specials, and — for an Austinite, this is super important — they have BREAKFAST TACOS. Michaela gave us the best service; thanks!
Pretty great place. Turns into a club after hours. Food and Drinks a plus.
Great View and very agreeable prices. Not at all what I expected. The staff was extremely friendly and the menu was appealing. I will definitely be back.
This place is great! Service was outstanding. My family of 5 went there on a Sunday at 7:00 P.M. and requested a table outside. We were fine with a wait but it ended up only being about a 5 minute wait for them to clear the table. The waitress checked on our table often, another person came by with
Awesome menu with variety of options we were in the mood for (tacos & sushi). The service was quick but food came out a little cold, though it was still appetizing. House margarita was great and the view of the beach gave a relaxing atmosphere with the outside dining. Comparable prices to other rest
So I used to come here years ago and the placed seemed a bit more upscale. Returning years later, I find out its under new ownership. Well, there's definitely more space to dance around. More of mini club given that you have seats out of the dance floor. Not sure about the food but drinks are okay.
Food and atmosphere was fantastic. The place is not to far from the Santa Monica Pier. We ordered the Dragon Roll , Garlic shrimp & jasmine rice and the fish tacos. The roll and garlic shrimp/jasmine rice was delicious. The fish taco however be warned it has a strong fish order like it literally sme
Great Sunday brunch. Good food and value for money - the mimosas were bottomless, in fact they never went below half full. Lovely and friendly staff who were also happy to assist with a channel change on request. I will be returning on my next trip
Forgot to grab some good pics of the food, but let me tell you the wings were great! I went during happy hour where a plate of 8 BBQ wings (typically $15) was only $8 and they were delicious. The meat was tender and juicy and the sauce is what really brought it home. Just the right amount of kick wi
Had the ceasar salad and vegan sushi roll. It was great, though the wasabi wasn't spicy which was weird. Pretty nice atmosphere with some of the cheaper prices I've seen in Cali. The service was good even though it seemed to be only one waitress working the dinner service.
Great place to grab drinks and food in Santa Monica. Definitely a nice date spot with your favorite. The food is good, atmosphere is nice, hip, great drinks. Great if you want to have a nice dinner with a date or meet up with a bunch of friends and then go hit the town.
Amazing restaurant and lounge by the beach! Great music on Friday nights by local DJ, DJ Lunacy and friends. Starting 2/18 a new event, Beats By The Beach, starts off. The new owners have done an amazing job, bringing top talet from The Venice Whaler over to change things up. If you want great food
