Nice atmosphere and courteous staff. Prices are as expected for the location. Food was quality. Will go here again when in Santa Monica.
when walking the Santa Monica beach boardwalk, I like to pop into this Shutters cafe for a little refreshment and beachside elegance
Place is very beautiful. Loved that they had indoor, outdoor and outdoor heated patio sitting areas. Service was excellent! Pricing is good. Food was delicious just my steak wasn’t cooked correctly as requested (steak and eggs). Didn’t get to enjoy my entire food because of it. Would love to try other things on the menu. Overall experience was lovely. Id come here again. The area is beautiful and close to the pier.
Stunning location and place to watch the sunset with a few drinks, however both of my drinks tasted like bleach. Not sure what's going on there. My partner enjoyed his beer and vesper martini though. The fries were delicious! Seating was fabulous and felt comfortable. Service wasn't great. But stunning spot to watch the sunset.
The breakfast was amazing and the quantity was a lot it was tasty for breakfast so i went back for dinner to try their wagyu burger and it was amazing !
It cooked well and they know how to prepare wagyu beef
I would definitely recommend it and i will be back for the Burger again

Perfect ambiance for din at the beach and wonderful service. I recommend the lobster roll (ask for tartar sauce for the fries, trust me) and the burrata for sure!! I wasn’t in the mood, but some of there mocktails looked intriguing, too
If you looking for a brush place on the beach, this is the place, the location is awesome, you can park by the beach parking and street parking is available also. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating available. It’s one of the nice restaurants with Santa Monica Pier view. I totally recommend get there day time to enjoy the sun and then watch the sunset 🌅 the food was good, staff are so nice and clean also!
We love coming to this place for many many years. My husband and I got married at Shutters and we’ve frequented this restaurant for brunch and early dinner. We’ve celebrated many birthdays and anniversaries here. I love love love their lemon ricotta pancakes and smoked salmon egg’s Benedict!! It’s a must have!!
I also love dining in their outdoor patio. It’s a nice sun room with open air and small trees providing enough shade. My favorite is the sounds of birds singing while you enjoy your food and drinks. It’s definitely my personal favorite in LA 🥰
Amazing food and lovely waitress. Their seafood was fresh as they had no smell. Also Their wine was great! Can’t wait to come back again!
My family of 7 (including me) got there around 10:30, and were immediately greeted. The host and the assistant, which could have been the manager, quickly help set a table and made accommodations to add a 7th chair. And we were helped in less than 2 minutes. Mind you, this is Sunday, Memorial weekend holiday, and they were really busy.
As soon as we sat, we were given water and they gave us some time to check out the menu. The servers, Juan and Joel were exceptional. We got all our drinks and food out very quickly. I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, and that was very tasty. Coffee is free refill, and the acai and regular mimosas were tasty.
They came back every 5-10 mins just to make sure we were doing good. It had a very nice atmosphere and they made us feel very welcomed. It was very comforting and both Juan and Joel provided an excellent service for us.
Definitely will be coming back in the future.
