The reviews about dogs not being allowed are so surprising. I was there today and there were maybe 10 or 15 people sitting in a circle on the patio, every one with their dogs right with them. And when I went inside to get my burrito a woman was at the checkout w her large leashed dog and no one was giving them any trouble whatsoever. Hmm. Had a delicious burrito and hot tea today when visiting for the first time. Loved the selection of magazines, newspapers, zines and journals. Great location with a bookstore next door and lots of outdoor seating with beautiful landscaping that’s just coming along for the spring/summer. Zucchini bread was yummy too.

Discrimination!!
Wanted to love it, coffee good, cute space BUT was immediately denied seating in the back yard with my service dog, violating ADA protections.
I explained the law to them and the owners and workers said “we DON’T CARE you can’t sit there with your dog”
They explicitly said “the patio is open but no dogs not even service dogs” and they were nasty and rude about it shouting at my across the restaurant
I have reported them to the legal authorities in Santa Fe and the Us department of justice
Sad that there are still places that discriminate and do not understand or care about laws that protects people with disabilities
From the ADA
Laws that Apply to Food Service
Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), privately owned businesses that serve the public, such as restaurants, hotels, retail stores, taxicabs, theaters, concert halls, and sports facilities, are prohibited from discriminating against individuals with disabilities.
The service animal must be permitted to accompany the individual with a disability to ALL areas of the facility where customers are normally allowed to go. An individual with a service animal may not be segregated from other customers.

Nice place to relax and enjoy a coffee. Great coffee and sweets. Heard food is also great. Lovely patio. Long slow line. Need to work on the speed with which they fill orders.

Been loving this place! Really good and fairly priced drinks, plus a neat and quiet area. They have lots of tables and a pretty large space. I appreciate that the baristas often wear KN95s.

The absolute best local coffee/magazine cafe in a hidden niche of Acequia Madre.

Subscription is an easy going place to refill our coffee mugs. Located near Canyon Road with a bookstore next door; unique and unassuming retreat for a refill.

At breakfast it's peaceful, and beautiful out on the back patio no tourists, and popular. The coffee is outstanding and the sticky oecan buns are exquisite. There are more learned journals than in most serious bookstores. A rare and wonderful place for java.
