Great experience here. Food was stellar and service was top notch.
Our server, Miguel, was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable.
To be honest I thought the whole “open flame fire-grilled” concept was a bit of a gimmick, but to be honest, it showed in the food, and was a huge addition to the wonderful flavor profiles.
The artichokes were a must. The cocktails were also great.
The ribeye was one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfect fat rendering, and the char on the meat was absolutely superb.
My only note is that the Caesar Salad was a bit bland, could use more seasoning in the dressing, and perhaps would recommend a dash of black pepper upon serving.

El Nido is off our list of Santa Fe eateries. Good luck retaining those many loyal diners who experienced your menu and prices prior to adopting the new, inflation adjusted menu. I think you’re going to need it! Diners, be prepared to be disappointed by the new, lower-food-cost recipes of sweet chicken, sweet shrimp, sweet soup and a 30% plus increase in prices. This is now a mediocre restaurant. To give just one specific example, the price of the once very popular Italian pizza was raised $6 and the toppings changed so much that if you were in a blind taste test you’d be hard pressed to identify it as pizza.

El Nido is a hidden gem that needs to be on your bucket list of places to dine at when traveling to Santa Fe and northern NM..!
Chef Ziggy has taken the Nido menu in an exciting direction with new sauces and platings true to his culture!
Completely deserving of his position and so is the establishment our party was blessed by a truly incredible dining experience!
Service was on point by the staff from the platings, bar and our server with a smile and respectable presence! No issue here!
The GM made her polite and energetic presence to greet our table and the interior design is one of my favorites with it's clean and relaxing gallery feel!
Our favorite table is next to the showcase where we can see the Chef work with his kitchen staff preparing our plates!
Honestly, the meal was amazing! The Chef cared about our table and our server and staff cared!
If I can duplicate this experience for all my future parties they can count on our support!

Money does NOT buy quality here. Between the room filling up with burnt rubber smelling smoke (multiple times), blinding photography for their main courses happening a table away and shoddy service this was the worst fine dining experience I’ve ever had. Thanks for the 50$ pity gift card I’ll be spending it on takeout next time…which will be the last time dining with el nido. So disappointed…
oh by the way after complementing the best dish we ordered there we were informed that “in fact the tomatoes have been lousy and out of season and the dish (we just ate) will be off the menu in a few days.” OH GOOD, I’m glad I just ordered it!

Had drinks and apps. The apps were exceptional. The drinks perfect. Service and atmosphere were perfect. Definitely a place to go to again and again.

Wait staff was great. Attended a birthday dinner with a large group. Hostess was very rude. As a local, I would advise be nicer. This restaurant has had problems holding the doors open. We were asked to quiet down and when we left hostess stated we over stayed our visit. That's after paying $1400 ticket for drinks and dinner!!

Went from Great to good. They have changed the menu a bit and not for the better. Removed the tib eye which was excellent. The recipe on the apple crisp has changed completely and is nothing memorable. Service was good but there were holes to be filled. Overall not the stellar experience it was a few months back.

I enjoyed a fantastic dining experience at El Nido, on a Friday night, using Open Table to make a reservation for myself and 2 friends. It was an hour drive from Albuquerque, but well worth it. We enjoyed two tri-pepper ribeye steaks, so tender, juicy, spicy and flavorful, paired with grilled vegetables and the most amazing green chile Cowboy mac & cheese. My other friend ordered the Kobe burger and he considered it the best burger he's ever had. Before our meal we tried several smoked cocktails, a mixture of bourbon, tequila and mezcal. The servers checked on us frequently for refills and to make sure our entrees were prepared as requested. We were too stuffed to sample the desserts and will need to return another time to save some room for dessert. The character and history of the dining room and bar definitely added to our experience.
