We ate at this restaurant when we had a four day, three night stay at Ojo Sante Fe Spa and Resort. Most of the time the food was good and the servers were nice. It really depended on who the cook was for the time of day, as with a lot of places. I do wish the honey was left off the cheese on the humus plate. The restaurant has great views if you are seated by a menu.

The fish tacos were amazing; really sweet tasting in a good way. The sauce on the steak took away from the delicious seasonings on it so I was a little disappointed with that. But it was good all in all.

I made reservations on open table for breakfast our first morning at the hotel. The restaurant cancelled my reservation after we ate which made no sense. The restaurant was understaffed and underwhelming, the huevos rancheros were undercooked (hard potatoes and undercooked beans no meat). The waitress noticed I only ate the eggs off the top then offered me a smoothie which was kind (only reason this isn’t a 1). Pay attention to your final bill, they charged us another amount that wasn’t on the initial bill (added chorizo charge randomly).

The hummus is amazing!!!! I ordered it every time I came to visit. The cucumbers in the hummus made it so tasty and refreshing. I also had the short ribs. It's mildly spicy and very tasty. Make reservations to get a seat by the window. Enjoy yourself!!! Oh only wine and beer available.

After soaking Blue Heron is a great spot for dinner. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was as relaxing as the spa. I had the hummus and even though I generally love creamy hummus this wasn't super creamy but it was delicious. The beef tenderloin was well worth the money as an entree. And we got Tiramisu for dinner which Sent us home relaxed and satisfied.

I ate breakfast there a month ago, sourdough with poached eggs, and they served quality sourdough. I just went back and they gave me disgusting not-real sourdough, like if Wonder Bread made "sourdough" by putting "sourdough-like flavoring" in plain white bread. It was gross. Also, my husband ordered a burger medium and it was definitely rare. I understand this is subjective but we both are picky about food and agreed it looked pink. I also think they should ask if I wanted the whole spectrum of condiments in ramekins, which I didn't, and now had to go into the trash. My husband had the $18 breakfast burrito the next day, which was giant but not delicious, perhaps the restaurant should focus on tastiness not quantity (my husband is not a dainty eater, but he only ate half). The serving staff was excellent, though and the ambiance was nice.

We live in Santa Fe. Had become regulars, once per week for a soak and dinner. However, we had some friends in town and reserved a table for 4 well in advance for lunch on a Friday. When we showed up, the hostess dressed me down fairly harshly about the fact that Blue Heron did not take reservations for lunch? Oddly enough, Blue Heron's own website runs you through Open Table to make reservations for lunch. The hostess essentially told me we did not have a reservation nor did I know what I was talking about. She was negative, frowning and just plain mad about something. Enough that we will quit going. Just too many alternatives that do have great staff back at work now days. Cheers

Everything was a great atmosphere, meals were so good, waiters & waitress were so exceptional and accommodating, except the manager he was rude and very unfriendly. On our check out day (We stayed for 2 nights) it was freezing cold outside and I was waiting for my spouse to finish the spa so that we could leave, I was welcome to sit and explained my situation for a few minutes, the restaurant was not full and I asked a glass of water. Suddenly, the restaurant manager approached me and asked me to leave, and said this is the dining area, period! He did not explain or give me the options if I am in the restaurant I must dine which I would pay. It was frustrating in the last moment before our departure.
