Kat’s is a very good place to eat. I prefer to take my food home because it’s always so crowded. I like to get half pounds or pounds of different meats along with sides or I especially like their brisket grilled cheese sandwich. It is absolutely delicious there. I usually call in my order and it’s ready to be picked up.

The absolute BEST grilled cheese BBQ sandwich you'll ever find. Plus we always get some ribs to go. Well worth the 72 mile drive we make from Cypress, yes one way.

Sooo delicious. I usually only want chicken at BBQ places, but they only serve that here if it’s a daily special. I’ve had the chicken and sausage before, and it was amazing. Today, there was no chicken special so I had ribs. Also amazing! The potato salad is the best I’ve ever had. The beans and fun pasta salads they do are also delicious. My husband has gotten the brisket sandwich, and the meat + bun are both incredible. Very generous portions, the meat is never fatty. Sooo so tender. The guy taking the orders is super friendly and funny. I highly recommend! Just get there asap because they close once they run out of meat.

Very good BBQ and desserts, fast, friendly service. The beef brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, sausage, and baked potatoes are cooked to perfection. The sides, beans, coleslaw & potato salad are always consistently fresh and delicious. I did finally try the half chicken served on Fridays only, but I was disappointed in my meal when I cut into it. Basically, I didn't feel like driving back to Kats BBQ, so I proceeded to heat my BBQ chicken in the oven about 10 to 15 minutes longer. I have not tried the half chicken again since, but I will try it again someday and update my post accordingly. The only issue I have now is that on several occasions, I came by. They sold out of "everything" by 1 to 2 p.m. My advice, like most great BBQ places in Texas, is to get here as soon as they open or call ahead because they run out of all the good stuff early and parking is "very" limited. I've traveled and eaten BBQ in "some" of the best places in Texas and this place, in my opinion, is one of the top four best places closer to home for sure, I just wish they made a little more food and stayed open longer like all the other best BBQ restaurants in Texas that don't ever run out of BBQ.

Just picked up for lunch and the service is super friendly and fast! Best BBQ in had from a restaurant HANDS DOWN!!! Sausage is nice and juicy and the BBQ beans are to die for!!!
I read a lot of reviews saying they need to make more because they sell out "too quick". I disagree completely!!! Keep doing what you are doing and don't sacrifice quality over quantity! I'll be back for more!

Our kids took us on Saturday, Brisket was so moist and the cuts in the sandwiches are very generous portions but the quality is spot on. Brisket in the beans are a great side dish.

Small, hole in the wall place, but amazing food. The portions are huge and the flavor is amazing. I had the brisket sandwich and mac & cheese as a side. The brisket is tender, juicy and not at all over flavored. The Mac and cheese is really good as well, with good flavor!

This spot is definitely a must if you like bbq. Food is superb. Very tasty and the portions are very big. I have been to a lot of bbq spots and this is by far one of the best. We got the cheeseburger topped with brisket, and a loaded brisket baked potato. I will definitely be back for more

This is a wonderful, small business that puts out really good food. The hours posted on the door say open at 11:00 until sold out...I got there at 1:15 and some of the most popular items were already sold out.
I am not really a brisket fan but Kat's BBQ made me a believer....Definitely show up early if you want to try their full menu...I am going to have to follow my own advise and try some of the other menu items.
