The Alaskan cruise was very nice. Weather is hit or miss but ours was the former. The cruise ship was called the Legend and it didn't really give off any vibes of being legendary. Very little to do when you're not ported; mostly trivia, dance routines, gambling and indulging in alcohol and fats :) The wait-staff is 2nd to none. Not one problem, smiles on all the faces and very charming personalities.

As many know Carnival Cruise Lines had to cancel may cruises due to COVID19. My cruise was set to sail in October from New York, for a 12 day adventure. On 4/13/20, I received email notice that they cancelled my cruise. I was offered a full refund. Three calls later and disputes files with my bank card... and still no refunds. I am told that it will take a minimum of 90 days to get me refund because they had to secure financing to issues it .... but they should have spent 0 of my fees. The worst part of all of this is, I only had a deposit of $388, and they the day before they cancelled it they offered me an upgraded package that I spent $1274 on.... So all in all, I would totally avoid Carnival. I believe that they will be filing for bankruptcy and keeping all of the new booking fees to cover themselves. After this experience and my first in 1994 when my carnival ship was taken hostage... I am done.

Great Great Customer service. Our dining host Thao invited my husband and I to tour the kitchens and sample food. Chef Atanu was a great host. Very informative and encouraging us to try new dishes. I loved everything I sampled, every dish that was presented in the kitchen and dining room was amazing. When you go on carnival Do NOT eat what you can get at home, try new things every night the staff will not disappoint you with the menu. The wait staff will happily give you suggestions if you can't decide also. You can get multiple appetizers, entries and desserts. Also our room attendant Ni was amazing, she was so sweet. She introduced herself as soon as she seen us and made herself available to anything we need. Carnival has excellent employees who love their job and it shows in their work and dedication to their customers.

Nice cruise to 4 ports in Hawaii, with very good ships and services. Although I am unhappy about the time it took to deport at our favorite port of Kona. Our day at Kona wasn't long enough because Carnival wasn't smart enough to use the local harbor boats to help along with their own boats. Some people didn't get landed until half day ! Still haven't heard from them regarding my complaint.

We decided to go on a carnival cruise to Mexico for a bachelorette party and since it was most of the girls' first time we were excited. Our first night's dining at the dining room was BAD. One of the Philipino server made the squinky eye with his hands to his eyes to us since we are Asians and on our last day at the buffet, one of the guy serving food started talking to us in Chinese, then Japanese then Indonesian to my girlfriends and I had to jump in and say "We are KOREANS!!" It was annoying and racist. The boat was rocking too much and all of us got sea sick and the service we received was very poor. It was my first and very last experience with Carnival Cruise and I will not go with them ever again.

If you'd rather not worry yourself with this issue at all, combat the conundrum by booking a cabin with its own private outdoor space. A balcony offers a private seating area, but it might not be big enough for a lounger. If that's the case, opt instead for suites that have larger balconies or, in some cases, their own private sun decks.
