Casa Canela

Been there now two times and attempted a third try on Father's Day for breakfast, but wait was over an hour. This is obviously only my personal opinion. Nobody's food especially, breakfast is that good to sit and wait outside for over an hour. Now if they had like a cart girl like they do on the golf courses to buy drinks,I may of opted to stick out the wait. Anyways, food is great,service is great and both the margarita trio or the mimosa trio are also great.

First time here, when we walked in first I enjoy the decor and the warm feeling. Had family visiting from out of state they were craving Mexican breakfast. Did a search and found casa canela. 3 ordered green chilaquiles one Sopes and machaca. My experience with the chilaquiles was not good they are not chilaquiles. You get nachos they don’t cook the tortillas chips with the salsa and the salsa was bitter no taste no Chile taste only green tomatillo. I ask for more salsa verde and what they give me was salsa from a can not a home made salsa. I just really hope they put more effort to make a genuine chilaquiles and not super nachos As you can see the pictures I ask for sunny side up eggs and got well cook eggs. Not sure if I will return

Depending on who helps you, the staff can be really nice or rude. 3 stars for the inconsistency in service. Food is decent. They charge to share a plate and you cannot share drinks or they'll charge a second drink to your order. I was tasting my husbands drink and was told we couldn't share, even though I wasn't really drinking simply sampling. Just something to consider.
