Fantastic indoor decor reminds me of a true Calib Irish pub. Outdoor patio seating on the street underneath the trees raining flower petals. And with the street closed to traffic great opportunity to chill & enjoy the Santa Barbara breeze.

Bouncer named Shawn refused me entry bc of my military ID but let my husband in with his. Claimed they don’t accept Military IDs. And on the weekend of the 4th. Won’t waste my time at this place again.

Terrible DJ. Door guys wouldn’t accept my military ID after I was just let in using said ID claiming they “don’t accept that ID”
Bartenders were rude about pouring a beer.
Terrible experience.
Shawn “the manager” continued to argue with me as I was trying to leave.

Sunday Jan 16, 2022 6:10 pm security doorman/bouncer tried to snap my Georgia driver's license in half. When I asked him not to break it, he said "If it breaks that means it's fake." He then continued bending and twisting my driver's license and used his flashlight to shine in my eyes. Bizarre interaction. Not the best way to welcome a new customer. A pint of Firestone Walker 805 was $8... too much, all things considered. There are better options elsewhere on State Street.

Quality bar for late night drinks and a party atmosphere

This seems to be like any typical college bar, in your local downtown area. It's got an Irish name, but nothing inside or outside is remotely Irish about it. When we arrived, I immediately went to the bar and tried to order five Irish Car Bombs (a pint of Guinness and a shot of whiskey/Baileys). The bartender then explained that they do not have Guinness. Once again, I want to reiterate that a bar named O'Malley's does not serve Guinness. Nonetheless, we ordered some beers and AMFs and got the night started. The drinks are strong and the music was loud, as to be expected by a bar of this nature. There's lots of dancing and often times the entire bar can be shoulder to shoulder packed. By midnight it was tough to decide if I wanted to hang out on the back patio with smokers or inside with what only could be described as an odor of sweat and more sweat.
