Review Dockside Cafe - Sandusky

Parking was free. Plenty of seating. Dog friendly. Amazing view. Food was good. You need to level your expectations when you see burgers, hot dog, nachos and fries on the menu. But it tasted fine. Served a nice variety of alcohol. Would definitely recommend. There's a grass field and small hill nearby the kids can run or adults and relax.

This place was really neat. Great views of Cedar Point, tasty food, and live music. The tacos were really great!

Dockside cafe is a quaint outdoor restaurant that features beautiful views of Cedar Point and Sandusky Bay. Dockside had ample seating during my visit but as Friday moved closer to 6pm, the table began to fill, but local acoustic entertainment arrived with the slightly heavier crowd as well. The food at Dockside is better than average bar food, although a little pricey ($60 for 2 adults and three kids...no kids menu is available). I highly recommend the Dockside Burger. Two patties nicely griddled with cheese then nestled between both end of a brioche bun. The side of fries had a unique seasoning that paired very nicely. Dockside also serves alcohol and those prices were very reasonable and they don't skimp on the alcohol. I really enjoyed my visit to Dockside Cafe but will return for a date night without the kids.

Worth it for the view alone. The food only makes it better. Well prepared, quick, and reasonable priced food make for a delicious meal. Fries are fresh potatoes, fish is local on world famous walleye taco but fried, and the beer is cold and local too.

The chicken soft tacos and the burgers were really good. Sitting at waters edge made a wonderful way to spend a bit of time. My only complaint was not one worker had a mask on. I thought it was a state mandate. I don't think I will go back.

Such an adorable outside cafe. My friends and I came for lunch. Had the deluxe double burger. It was AMAZING. The view was something else. Would definitely recommend. Will return when in the area again!

Two different years to watch the sunset and have a drink and relax! Good food good drinks!!! Happy hour between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.

This is my "zen" place, day or night. The nicest staff that always remembers you!! Beautiful view, the freshest food, and great customer base! Animal friendly, too!

Facebook actually recommended this place to us as a “a place where the locals go.” Our table had burgers, walleye tacos and shrimp tacos. All were fabulous. Staff was nice and helpful with questions. Lots of locals were there as well having a great time😉. We will be back when we visit Sandusky again!

This little spot is a perfect summer evening setting to watch a sunset and have a bite and a drink. Great live music and casual atmosphere.

Next to the water, gorgeous view. Small and simple cafe with incredibly delicious food. I had the walleye tacos, and wow! Those were so good. Their fries are awesome too!

I am so excited to find a place like this. The sunset was incredible & the nachos & walleye tacos were fabulous!!! Cocktails were great & the staff was superb!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

I eat here all the time! No better place to eat or drink with open air views of the Sandusky Bay. The food is awesome!

Again, the walleye tacos were amazing. The perch sandwich was just as good as it was last time and my granddaughter (a picky eater I might add) loved the chicken soft tacos. This time the wait was not quite as long as last visit, and not so crowded, which made this a better outting. We recommend the Dockside Cafe as a "Must Stop" for any visit to Sandusky.

Great outside place! Perfect view and delicious food...perch and walleye tacos. We sill try the salads and quesadillas next time!

We had very nice evening. We enjoyed our meal and drinks, the cashier talked me into a bucket of Summer Sunset drink, lol, it was really good. The view and good company with our friends was wonderful, perfect summer evening. We will definitely be back!

Best place in town for food with a view. Great food, the Serfs were great entertainment. Hate the wait sometimes.

I tried the Walleye tacos and I must say, they were the BEST tacos I have ever had....It's probably a good thing they're an hour away from me, otherwise, I'd probably eat way to many of them! Lol Also, the fries are fantastic! They weren't very hot by the time I got them, but it didn't matter to me. They're fresh cut fries with fresh seasonings, such as rosemary and thyme. Absolutely outstanding!

Food was overpriced. Ordered the fish taco's, there was more lettuce in the taco's then fish. I would hazard to say I was lucky to have 2 complete pieces. Defiantly a disappointment. The only saving grace was the view.
