Pros: ·clean, contemporary spot ·large variety of dishes ·portions are pretty good Cons: ·lengthy wait for food (20+ minutes for a salad) ·cashier was very vague when asked simple questions ·food was very mediocre "How large are your flat breads?" "They're definitely filling for one person." Different people have different sized stomachs, dude. Just show me about how big it is with your hands... Also, it took ridiculously long for us to get two burgers and a salad... We waited for 25-30 minutes, and when my sister asked for an estimate on when the food would be out, the cashier said "real soon." My burger was unncessarily lathered with mayo to a point where I could only taste mayo and meat, and my father's burger had pesto in it that was absurdly salty. Overall meh.

Breakfast Tacos made from scratch! Possible the best breakfast tacos in San Marcos. Evidently, others agree because there will sometimes be a line and 30 minute wait. But it’s worth it. I recommend the notorious P.I.G and SMTX.

FRESH food and amazing burgers. The meat was plump and juicy, and the bun was crisp but soft on the inside. A little pricy but you get what you pay for.

My mouth just waters thinking of this place. I have tried several things off the menu and I love them all. The house cut chips are a must all meals. Nice little tap area also to enjoy some cold brews! And most of all, I love their new location downtown

Some of the best burgers in town. Their menu has a lot of craft style food. The food ranges from $8 to $10 which is about standard for the area. The beer selection is fantastic and Ted really does keep high quality stuff on tap. It's an easy walk from campus and to the square, you can never go wrong!

First time at Cheer and Chow per a friend's recommendation. Had the Jam On It burger which is a sweet and savory burger featuring goat cheese and a fig sauce, paired nicely with a craft beer. Added bacon and it was awesome. The bun is crispy which adds a nice crunch to the burger. Will come back to try the rest of the menu!

This is the only place my entire family can agree on for dinner. The Jam On It is my favorite burger ever, and they have any beer you could want. Friendly staff and great new location just off the square. Seriously. It’s so good.

Three out of the five times I’ve been here they have run out of meat. Steak, burger, bacon. The last time I was there I opted for the refund as opposed to waiting 1.5 hours for their meat delivery, but my refund did not include the tip I had given. The other two times I did try a burger and a chicken wrap, which were pretty good. I’d recommend this place only if you have ample time for lunch.
