I ordered the greens and beans plate. The beans were fine but the greens were terrible. They tasted like they sat out too long. My son said his fried chicken and his side of Mac and cheese and dumplings were good. I also ordered a side salad but they brought a dinner salad… I normally enjoy my meals at Cracker Barrel but this time, it was just off. I decided not to take the chance on a dessert. Next time!

Biscuits were awesome as usual, got seated quickly because we called ahead, server was very attentive. They were extremely busy so some of the biscuits were a bit burned. We just ate the non burned ones. Seems like they may be changing portion sizes which may not be such a bad thing.

Had a great meal. Claire was our server and she did a phenomenal job. Glasses never empty and food brought out promptly. Thanks Claire!

I already love the food and atmosphere at Cracker Barrel but what sets this one in San Marcos apart is the staff. Every single person is friendly and accommodating. The hostess was kind and easy to communicate with. The manager has a great rapport with the staff and even came over to our table to have a friendly chat. But the absolute highlight was out server Abbirae D. She was the best server I've had in a very long time and really one of the best I've had ever. She's somehow both fast and attentive. I never felt rushed and everything she did was efficient. She was great at communicating with everyone at the table (we have 4 kids ranging from teen to 1st grader). She had a great attitude and was so intuitive. She knew when we needed something before we ever had to ask.
Good food and great service. Plus that Cracker Barrel store is always so much fun. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Great food but we had a terrible experience! They had only half of our order out took 25 minutes to get the other half out then they forgot my daughter’s plate (we eat together as a family of course) so half of our tables food was COLD by the time the other half got there I was UPSET ! spoke with a manger who just said sorry he could microwave our cold food ! At this point I just wanted to leave all food on the table and walk out ! I’ll never visit this location again! But the cold food was great 👍

I love their menu. I have ordered the chicken fried steak, the ham dinner, the meatloaf and other delicious plates and its always so good! I especially like their cornbread. I order take-out so when I go to pick up, I always find something in their gift shop. They get me there too! But i don't mind because they have such cute stuff. During the holidays you can find some great gifts. I love the gift shop and their variety of old time candy. Love my local Cracker Barrel store.
