This is a great place for enjoying delicious food. The #15 is a mind-blowing set. Has recommended many of my friends coming here for it, and they all love it!!
I love the beef pho and the fried chicken is marvelous!
A favorite spot of my husband. He really likes food here. I knew about this place but only tried it for the first time. They nailed the Congee with Duck and Ginger Sauce right. Their chicken dishes were also good. The chicken meet was juicy and fresh, true to their advertised “only use free range chicken“.
The staff were fast and attentive. They also served the food very fast even when the restaurant was full of customers.
The only thing I didn’t like was their seatings. It was quite cramped. Even though I was an Asian, I still found my table was quite cramped.
This is an authentic Vietnamese specialty chicken and duck noodles and rice restaurant 😋. It is located across from Vietnam Town on Story Road, in San Jose. You know it's good and authentic since there is a wait if you come on weekends and 95% of the customers are mostly American Vietnamese.
I really like this restaurant for their consistency foods and great service every time I come here. My favorite soups here are duck rice noodles or rice with a side cabbage salad. If duck is not your favorite, then you can order your soup with chicken. Not in the mood for soup? They do have quite a variety of rice dishes with chicken.
The servers here are young, polite, and very attentive to your request. They're super fast here as well. Best of all, the service is very consistent every time I come. I always leave absolutely satisfied and would not mind leaving at least 20% tips.
Come and try this restaurant out and support San Jose local business. Forget about those Vietnamese chains restaurants that are now imposing an automatic 18% service charge on your bill regardless of the service being good or bad.
Best chicken pho and other viet chicken dishes in town. Restaurant is large and there’s parking in the shopping plaza. Try the chicken salad or chicken pho. If you’re looking for traditional beef pho, go to Pho 90 or Pho Papa. Otherwise, this will end up to be a light and delicious lunch or dinner spot for most.
10/10, the best pho I’ve ever had. The soup tastes so good and I don’t feel thirsty after drinking it (which means they put none or just very little MSG in the soup).
The service is quick and easy to find parking.
Busy place become the food is good. At places named after Chicken Pho it is advisable to get said dish as it’s excellent. Staff was a little frazzled when we were there and we had to go get our own menus and then napkins, but overall a good experience
Chicken pho is special and delicious. But the chao is too diluted, flavor is fine tho.
Good authentic Vietnamese chicken pho with quick service. They use locally sourced free range chickens so it's very good. Definitely one of the best pho places in San Jose.
All dishes have big portions and yummy and you won’t be disappointed. Their savory ginger dipping sauce is to die for. There will be a wait if you come during peak lunch or dinner hours, especially on weekends.
Parking is really tough on weekends though.
We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was almost full. Service was quick and the food came out in no time (<5 min).
Based on my friends' recommendation, we ordered 1) chicken pho with shredded chicken and clear noodle - a bit plain and moderate portion
2) rotisserie chicken with red rice and fried egg - my favorite
3) vermacelli with bamboo shoot and steamed duck - recommend if you like steamed duck and bamboo shoot.
Tip: Don't forget to order a fresh sugar cane juice, they make a good one here!
Love their roasted half chicken. Crispy skin and flavorful sauce. Service is fast, although there might be a wait to get the table at peak hours.
Food was amazing, came here with coworkers and if you love chicken and duck it's the best. I got the vermicelli soup with a duck salad and it was great. Duck was cooked in a way where it's not too gamey but still juicy and flavorful. The cabbage was fresh and clean. My other coworkers ordered chicken dishes and it was also very juicy. I also got the sugar can juice. The best price in the area for under 5 bucks. Portion sizes on all dishes are amazing here. Two ppl could share a dish if they want. But honestly I almost finished everything. Even the drink they give you as much as they can, above the lip of the cup and into the rounded cap.
FYI, the orange rice is not made with tomato sauce, we asked and they said it was with the fruit (I can't remember what it's called) so you know it's all authentic ( they even use Vietnamese Basil and Banana flowers here which ain't available everywhere)
Great service and nice place for a quick bite. Delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Decent price for the quality and quantity of food.
An L-shaped restaurant with plenty of seating. Large but feels a little cluttered with a mishmash decoration. There's a lot of to-go and plenty of diners in the middle of a hot afternoon. The pride in joy is definitely the free range chicken dishes. The pho chicken consists of a beautiful clear chicken broth and inviting chunks of chopped chicken on bone. A side of garlic ginger sugar dip adds even more pizzazz to the soup. Sugar cane drinks is very sweet and holds the ever enticing taste that only real sugar squeezed juice offers. There are so many dishes with an emphasis on chicken, but there's also the beef pho!
1/3/2020 My mom cooks great chicken pho, I wanted to take her here to try. It was a Friday noon and we did have to wait already. The prices have changed, our special bowls are now $12, at least they still give the same portions although not very consistently, some bowls have more or less gizzards than other, some missing parts LOL.
My mom would prefer the steam chicken over rice and my sister would like to try the rotisserie chicken with tomato rice, they both look good at the next table. Although the chicken are organic and caged free but unlike other restaurants, quite meaty and well fed LOL.
Chicken pho is not easy to cook great, but this restaurant does. So my friend keep recommending this restaurant, I don’t care for chicken pho and I hate VN restaurants walking chicken, mostly bones and skins, they mistaken cage free and underfed chicken. Costco chicken is overfed with lots of meat and VN restaurant sell underfed chicken for the so call ‘savvy’ VN customers.
Enough of ranting about the people, I came into the restaurant with an open mind.
The restaurant is clean and crowded, well it was lunch time on a SATURDAY. The servers are pleasant, we didn’t have to wait long.
The place is doing so well, it took 2 shops to make into one, plenty of seats and still full.
I ordered the pho chicken special with everything in it, gizzards, wing, leg, hearts, liver, breast... Little of everything.
This restaurant really surprised me, the soup tastes great, the meat cooked just right, plenty of chicken and intestines, I have a thing about counting how many pieces of meat every restaurant served with the $10.5 bowl. 7 pieces of chicken meat and many hearts and gizzards, the noodles is on the light side. Anyhow, it was a great bowl of pho ga, I would order extra noodles if I was hungry.
The parking lot only has compact spaces, it’s hard to find parking space for bigger SUV.
One more good thing, they do accept credit cards.
Really, 5 stars and always full of people is simple, good food, don’t skim on food, and be nice.
Amazing Vietnamese restaurant I ordered the pho combination for $11.50 and it was delicious, the broth was soooo good, and the meats were really good and tender. The soup tasted a bit spicy but I enjoy spice so it was not a problem for me, but just a heads up if you plan on drinking all the soup like I did. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to try good vietnamese food and especially to try what Pho should taste like.
Im sorry that there are so many negative comments due to a small mistake. People in this world are very angry and instead of trying to better educate they resort to hatred. I'd love to visit but I live in Canada and am too far away. The employee in the video was very polite and she clearly just didn't understand the situation fully. I wish you all the best.
