Shiki Japanese Restaurant - San Jose - Photo album

The food here is really good and decent price. Lunch combos are well worth it. However, the wait at lunch time is pretty long, and the dinning area/wait area is pretty small.
The best food for the money. Very large portions and excellent quality dishes. Their sushis are outstanding. Small place and self serve.
I have to say the food surprises me how delicious it is. Won't recommend to anyone, only reserve to myself. Haha, just kidding.
Been coming here for over 20 years! Great prices😀And very Delicious🍜🍣🍤🍲🍛Same Owners since they opened So busy you must order in person For to-Go orders. Worth the time😊👍👍👍👍at least 1 x week And Recently they have posted a Letter on the Door " Thanking" all their customers for their Loyalty😨💜❤ A
This is a wonderful, family owned japanese restaurant. Fresh sushi made right in front of you...does not sit around on "boats" or "trains" getting stale...and lots of wonderful cooked food options as well (for those who prefer this). Do not expect a 'fast' experience (since they are small and make
Prices have slightly gone up and the place is regularly busy now, but it's still a good place for some Japanese food and sushi for the price. Obviously it was better before it became known and popular especially with the old prices but still a good deal. This is like a small hole in the wall as this
This is a small family operated mom and pa restaurant. The wife or daughter would run the front and back of the restaurant while the husband (presumably) does all the sushi orders. This is a self-serve restaurant so you do need to clean up after yourself. The portion is big enough for two and the
Love this place. Tempura is the best! Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. Don't go when you're in a hurry though. They only have like 3 people working there, so it takes a bit to get in to order, but the food is worth it. Highly recommend it.
Food is great the place itself not so much. Came here because it has good reviews but when we walked in my first impression was not so good. The place is so small and the few tables they have are so crowded together. We literally had to squeeze ourselves into the place. So we decided to try anyways.
Great japanese food at an amazing price! A nice little family owned restaurant, they're pretty busy most of the time so if they don't pick up you may have to stop by. They're also really good about putting on their voicemail if they are going to be closed unexpectedly!
This one of my favorite places to eat. I've loved everything i've tried here and they make a chicken curry that is almost as good as my mom's! Wonderful food, and great prices. it may be a small place and somewhat cramped inside, but the food makes it all seem like home...
I just read the news update about the restaurant. It was sad to know they are closed permanently and they have family’s emergency. I know this place for many years, there is my number spot for my fiancé and myself. Thank you for your service and tasty food at great price. Hopefully, your family is
Excellent. The fish selection was superb. If I had any criticism at all it would be that the Shari was not seasoned quite enough (for my liking) but a small issue relative to the overall experience. Best sashimi plate I've had in the US.
Very tasty, friendly service, very affordable, big portions
Not typical Americanized sushi restaurant, hole in the wall reminds me of rural Japan I visited for work. Family owned, one main chef with serial cooking. Be patient and you will appreciate the foods come out for you to munch on 😉
Fantastic and authentic place with great food. Came here during the COVID-19 pandemic for take out and was so grateful for all the precautions they are taking. Gloves at the front, clearly marked places to stand and they even disinfected the pen before handing it to me. Let's support our local busin
This is very sad news. I always remember the lady with her sweet smile and her kindness for all customers. Thank you and my condolences to the family, I am sure that all of us who had the privilege of meeting you through your restaurant will always miss you.
Ordered take out here last night. The food was fresh and delicious. Highlights were the tempura and miso soup. Sashimi portions were generous on the nigiri sushi.
