We ordered through Postmates for pick-up on a Friday night and got a notification about thirty minutes later saying our order was ready. When I arrived it was total chaos. There was probably about twenty people waiting for their food. When I asked about my order the guy at the register (who was frantically entering additional orders into the POS system instead of calling out completed ones) told me it was ready they were just waiting on a milkshake, of which there were already about 20 made on the counter. After waiting another 25 minutes and asking a couple more times, I asked to cancel my order. At that point he picked up a bag of food that had been sitting next to the cash register the whole time and told me my order was ready. The exact same thing happened to the guy behind me. He claimed the order had just came out but by the time I got it home the fries were super soggy and the chicken sandwich was cold. It’s a shame because the food is great and the staff is generally awesome. The cashier was just overwhelmed with the demand and they’re not set up to support a rush. If you go, go on off-hours.

Small comfortable cozy and family friendly restaurant that serves some amazingly fresh and tasty home cooked flavors!! The burgers were juicy, dripping with taste. Every bite was an explosion of flavors. Didn't disappoint by any means, visit this favorite if you want a true slice of San Francisco.

The place isn't cheap (they pay their employees well and the rent is expensive in K-town), so just know you're dropping about $20+ for burger, fry, and drink. Therefore, not a spot I can visit regularly, but would definitely visit again as it was very good.

Has a non-vegan rendition of the Beyond burger on the menu, and were very accommodating about veganising it on request (the sauce and bun are vegetarian, not vegan). Great sweet potato fries. Reasonably priced. Excellent, attentive counter service - the man at the till went to great lengths to ensure my meal would be vegan 💞 Five stars for service, four stars because I think they could do a more imaginative vegan Beyond as a standard menu option.

Craving a delicious burger? Search no more! Located in the heart of the Fillmore district, Hi-Way Burger & Fry offers a variety of choices for everyone. The patty is juicy, the toppings are customizable (my fave: caramelized onions and aged white cheddar cheese) and prices are reasonable. The line to order at the counter wasn't out the door so we didn't hesitate to grab a number and seat ourselves outside since we had my two pups with us and soak up the sun (a rarity in SF). The portion size of fries was more than enough for the two of us to share. We enjoyed both the truffle fries and the sweet potato fries. Totally would return here for another burger bite in the future.

He took my sandwich seriously and taught me a little about Italian cured meats. My sandwich was really, really good! Way better than I was expecting.

I also stumbled in and left with a sandwich made by friendly Chris. He took my sandwich seriously and taught me a little about Italian cured meats. My sandwich was really, really good! Way better than I was expecting. I have a square of delicious looking lasagne for tomorrow.
