Morty's Delicatessen

This was disappointing. The place is nice, and the staff were friendly. The food came out quickly, and they have an impressive variety of menu items available. But the sandwich just wasn't very good. It was mostly bread, almost as if they were running out of ingredients. It was, at least pretty good bread (actually, the cheese and meat were both good too, there was just hardly any of it there). I'll probably go back again and try something else, in case it was just a bad day.

Called in a pick up order this morning & picked it up. Found out they’re charging extra to use cards—I understand COVID slowed down the service, but it’s inconvenient. Then after I paid, I asked for a bag & was told I couldn’t get one since I didn’t have a separate 25 cents so I had to walk 5 blocks with hot food & nothing but a thin napkin to carry it. Poor customer service today; it’s normally much better than this…I’m disappointed.

I ordered the chiptole potato salad and corned beef Reuben. The potato had barely any flavor. It didn't seem like they added spice or salt to it when it was mixed up. The Reuben I got I asked for corned beef with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. What I got was just bread and meat. No sauce, no cheese, no condiments. Do on top of having a bland potato salad I just have dried meat on dried toast for lunch. Good thing I had tea at work or I would have sounded like a COVID patient with how dry my throat is.
