Ok here we go, I’m giving them a 1 ⭐️ for friendliness and fast service. Now let’s get to the food, I tried 2 different items. I got the 2 piece chicken, mash potatoes and coleslaw and 2nd item was the shrimp and grits. Now they gave me like and boneless fried chicken it was real greasy it wasn’t crispy at all full of grease and the leg they gave me was a tiny tiny chicken leg and it was over over cooked and the chicken had no flavor. The mash potatoes was stiff they gravy was stiff and to thick and the coleslaw was soggy. Now the shrimp and grits the was to watery and they was not cook enough and they have no flavor and they was not hot and the shrimp tasted nasty and they was over cooked. it was like they didn’t even cooked the food just warm it up and gave it to me it’s was the worst food I have had from a restaurant in a long time. Now I see why the food came out so fast because they didn’t cook it I give the food 0 ⭐️ I paid 36 dollars plus a tip for no food I couldn’t eat it was so bad I threw both meals away. That round ball you see in the picture that’s the mashed potatoes.

I was disappointed in the food and selection. If you're from the south, this restaurant will heavily disappoint you. Pros: - They had Tabasco hot sauce on the table. - Food came very quickly. (Suspiciously fast for shrimp) - Serving staff was friendly. Cons: - Saw there was sweet tea on the menu, got really excited, and they didn't have any. As a former server, if you're out of a normal menu item, let the customer know before they look at the menu. - Ordered the shrimp and grits. They use southeast Asian prawns rather than gulf shrimp - they have very different flavors, textures, and size. Also the "savory cheese grits" had no flavor, no spice, nor creamy texture. To be honest, instant cheddar grits from the grocery are way better than the watery, flavorless grits I got at Buttermilk. Summary: If you want brunch food, they can probably do that. Set your expectations very low for the actual southern entrees.

Alright. Wasn't a huge fan of the shrimp and grits. The grits were flavorless but the shrimp decent. The cornbread was so bad. I took one bite and threw it out. My husband enjoyed his biscuits and gravy with fried chicken. I don't plan to get food from here again. Mac and cheese was also flavorless. Overall bleh.

I must say that I really enjoyed this place. It may be one of my new favorite brunch spots. I’ve been wanting to go here for a while, but just hadn’t made my way over. I have absolutely been missing out. There were three flavors of mimosa: orange, mango and guava. My partner got the mango and I got the guava. We both enjoyed them. I would recommend the large. The only thing that would have made it better would be having bottomless mimosas 😔! My partner ordered the chicken and waffles and he loved it. He was really skeptical since we didn’t have to make reservation and there was no wait. That’s not our typical experience in SF so it was taken as sign that the food wouldn’t be good. WRONG!!! I ordered the chicken, biscuits and gravy with two eggs. Also, delicious. I asked for the gravy on the side because I didn’t want it to be smothered on top of the chicken and biscuits. The gravy was so good I ended up pouring and smothering it on top of the chicken and biscuits 🤦🏾‍♂️. I couldn’t help it. My only complaint is that I would like to have had bigger pieces of chicken. I thought I was going to get full size pieces of chicken. Instead they were bite size pieces to fit on the biscuits. It was all so good I just wanted more. Great place!! Will be back often. Definitely recommend!!!

Came here very excited to try it out at brunch as I heard they had amazing biscuits. Unfortunately the service and experience was very disappointing. We placed our order and waited 15min for our OJ and water. It was another 30min before we saw the waiter again. He dropped off the waffles and one order of food and let me know that they ran out of biscuits (I had the biscuits and chicken meal) and I needed to order something else. That they waited 45min and until all of the food was out before telling me really annoyed me. It was another 10min before I got my food. I got the scramble which was rather plain. They comped me for the food, but the experience will prevent me from coming back.
