Rusted Mule

We visited here as part of a full evening of exploration of SF bars. Our drinks here were fine. Not great, but not awful. The drink cup that looks like a tin food can is a fun presentation. The staff is extra friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is kind of a low budget steam puck Jules Vernes style, and the crowd when we visited was young and SF geeky hip. The best part is the bar snacks, which are very good. We loved the fries, the Korean fried chicken bits, and the corn dogs.

This is a fantastic new bar! I love the steampunk vibe (inspired by the movie Metropolis). The drinks are delicious and well priced. They also offer a happy hour from 5-6. I love the variety of mule drinks on tap. I also had a wonderful mezcal that was smooth and just the right amount of smokiness (Mezcal Union). I'll definitely be back to try the other drinks!

I love this place. The best time to go is Halloween and when an exciting game is happening. They really go all out in decoration starting from ghosts floating, goblins and skeletons and monsters on swing sets, even in the bathrooms and hallways. The bread pudding is an absolute must. Even if you're full order it. It's so delicious and heavenly. Sometimes the place gets crowded but you can just hang out at the bar and usually a seat opens up. When there's a game like the World Series and the dodgers are playing you're in for a good night. The dodgers gave us some high and lows that night but nevertheless it was a fun night for the patrons and workers. Come here if you want to have a good time hanging out with your friends or even making new friends.
