Casual bar with good drinks that are priced competitively. Purchased around 7 drinks that included beers and cocktails for less than $50 before tip.
The drinks were mixed well, and the bartender was patient with our questions and order. Considered a tiki bar, and the decor inside supports that. Outdoor seating is nice given how busy it was inside.
If you are in the Outer Richmond looking for a casual bar that has affordable drinks, I'd suggest this bar.

Great dive bar with Tiki theme. One to Two bartenders at a time, so can be a bit of a wait for drinks. Order something fun off their menu, or get a classic cocktail or beer.
Heads up, some of their blended drinks have vanilla ice cream, so if you're not into the boozy milkshake scene, make sure you tell them no ice cream!

One of the oldest, if not the oldest, tiki-bars in the City. Trad'r Sam's is host to low cost drinks, heavy pours, and an interesting cast of characters. Come with a group of friends, share a fishbowl, or belly up to the bar and listen to the ramblings of an old salty dog.

Love this place more than a Forrest Gump loves a Jenny. Not a local, but feel like a local every 6 months or more, when we stop in to visit. Tiki/local watering hole/dive bar. No fuss, wait your turn, we're all in this together type of community...Angie is one of the most welcoming, and outgoing tenders of fine liquors this side of Neptune. Trust your inner child when picking a cocktail off the non-descriptive menu...or order the Banana Cow, it's the bees knees

Friendly staff, and great people to hang out with. Normally I'm not into the bar scene but the people here are cool.

Truly fun local dive bar with a bunch of tiki elements and a strong drinks menu served up with flair and panache. The cocktails are enormous and powerful, as befits a tiki bar. Also great mix of drinkers here and thankfully this place has not become douchefied like so many other S.F. institutions

Went there last night after dinner. Couple things to note: cash only, none of the staff was wearing mask, and drinks tasted very watered down. I'd say it's 90% dive and 10% tiki. It is an iconic place but what is left besides the history? I am not sure...
