What a fantastic place! Don't judge this place by its location or how it looks. The food is 5 stars and blows everything similar away! Don't miss out on this place! I ordered the chicken and cheese empanada and the carne asada. It is so delicious that I am planning a visit back here soon.

The BEST tamales I’ve had in my life!! No lie. The horchata and flan were also amazing. Everything is homemade. The only reason I took off a star for the atmosphere was that it’s a little sketch-ville outside the restaurant, so street parking is somewhat questionable. Besides that though, it’s quite honestly the best and most authentic Mexican food you’ll have in SF.

The tastiest tamales I’ve ever eaten. The service is good too. I love the menu with southern Mexican items, I think it’s unique and hard to find. I used to come here during my college days and I find that the quality is still consistent and portions are very generous. Also the Agua de Cebada is delicious. I took one star off the atmosphere because of the location—this person who was loitering outside walked in and smelled foul, it could easily ruin anyone’s appetite. However, I don’t think the restaurant is responsible for what’s happening in the Tenderloin.

This is exactly what I would want in a small Mexican restaurant. The food was absolutely so delicious and the atmosphere was very casual, so I felt comfortable eating there alone and the service was great as well. I'm not too familiar with Mexican food but I absolutely enjoyed every dish that I had. the only thing is the neighbourhood is a little bit sketchy but what can you do? It's San Francisco.

GET THE EMPANADAS! I ordered the pork and cheese empanadas. They were so delicious. Our server was so attentive and offered to take our order as we waited to get seated.

This restaurant is truly a hole in the wall that is well worth visiting. The food is very good and the staff is very nice. It serves authentic Mexican food in large portions. I always order carne asada there and it is very tasty. Many visitors eat soup, which apparently must also be very good. I will definitely eat here again.

Visiting from out of town (Texas) We had been craving some authentic Mexican food our fourth day here and we found this place through google maps. The food is amazing and the prices are reasonable. If you’re looking to get some good Mexican food don’t hesitate to stop here. The area is a bit sketchy and it’s a very small restaurant but inside the atmosphere was very welcoming and the service was friendly. We ordered the Chicken and Fish milanesa as well as some empanadas and tacos. Everything we had tasted fantastic.

Amazing late night spot. They close at ten but don't let the cracked glass on the entrance deter you. This is genuinely authentic down to the cans of diet coke. The sauce is hot but the meal is magical

Great little Mexican restaurant good flavors and big dishes. Close to the tenderloin not that great of an area but the food is good and open late. If your missing some good old Mexican true Mexican go head you won't be disappointed.
