Rubio's

I went in with friends for lunch, it was very busy. When our food arrived at our table my order wasn't available because it was never added to the entire order. Associate Elmer asked if everything was Ok and went to check on my order. When he returned to our table he said my order was never placed, I said Ok no worries, but I did not have the time to get back in line to re- order. A few minutes passed and Elmer brought me my order? He was amazing and I was so greatfull for his doing the right thing! It just doesn't get better than that, thank you Elmer your a great man.

Just to get this out of the way, people, this is an American burrito place, a chained one like Chipotle. Food is cheap, and in my opinion taste better than Chipotle. I like to get the burrito especial with steak and it comes with chips. The staff here are always nice and friendly, but seatings can get really crowded during the lunch hour (like everywhere else in this area).

This is a hidden gem in the financial district near the Embarcadero. Mostly local business people and a huge catering operation run by the Best staff I have ever seen in any Mexican restaurant. Great management leads to a great staff and this place is a good example. Consistently good food at a very good price! Long-ish lines in the lunch hour, but moves quickly. Closed on Sunday and early Saturday night, it's only drawback.

Went here expecting it to suck. IT did not suck. The blackened talapia tacos are fantastic. There is a large smattering of salsas to choose from. The salmon burrito is hearty and tasty. Takes a while for them to make your food, which is oddly comforting. I'd call this a hidden gem, except it's sort of in plain sight.
