The best food Ive had in 2023! Everything was wonderful. The rice was beautifully seasoned and cooked. The variety of very fresh fish was amazing. The hostess was kind and attentive, and the sushi chefs were awesome and informative. I loved every bite and would 100% recommend! I cant choose my favorite because they were all so good.
This sushi experience exceeded all my expectations. Without a doubt, it stands as some of the best sushi I've ever had in the United States. What truly set it apart was the impeccable freshness of the fish, consistently served at the perfect temperature. Nestled in a cozy, intimate setting with just six seats, it offered an intimate dining experience that made it even more special. The pricing, considering the quality, was surprisingly reasonable. Though we opted for the middle-tier menu, in hindsight, I regret not going for the top-tier option, as it must have been an even more exceptional culinary journey. If you have a passion for exquisitely fresh fish, this place is an absolute must-visit.
Great omakase experience. From start to finish each dish was had prepared right in front of us and quickly served giving it a profound freshness.
The drink service and sake were on point and a great deal. The food was a bit expensive but it was worth splurging. The only difficult part was finding it, using the pictures and asking around eventually got us there.
Absolutely delicious. I was in SF for a few nights and decided to treat myself. Booking for one was easy and as the venue is so tiny, sitting at the bar felt fine. Every round was incredible, with the black cod being one of the best thing i’ve ever eaten. The chefs were mesmerising to watch and we ended the meal sharing a drink of sake.
When in San Francisco, "Oma San Francisco Station" stands out as a must-visit sushi restaurant. The freshness of their fish, coupled with a friendly and attentive staff, ensures a delightful dining experience. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and stylish, setting the stage for a memorable meal. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or a first-timer, Oma San Francisco Station guarantees an unforgettable sushi journey.
The atmosphere is casual and would only be suitable for families. But food was great with some hints of western influences. Come here for food, not experience. Little underwhelming for $400 per person.
It was very intimate; the chef actually refused to see other customers without reservations while we were around to have that one-on-one feel between him and the customer. He explained the dish/seafood, his own comments, and where it came from. We ended up paying a total of around $350 with tax and tip. We got the secret menu omakase and had 20 courses (no dessert) but got 2 extra Santa Barbara uni nigiri (we had to because that was one of the best we've had). Overall, the sushi was great! Definitely high quality and more flavorful than your average sushi place. But was it foodgasm kind of good for that price? Tbh, I'm not sure. I feel like the sushi's potential wasn't fully reached. Would love to come here again though!
Also, please be polite and stop at the podium first. Don't just sit down without even asking 😂
25pc omakase was so delicious!! Delivered promptly at our time (free delivery for orders over $150!) with cute individual bags per omakase. Our cat was very sad when he learned it wasn’t for him. 😂 They are doing a great job during Covid, and can’t wait to have it again at home (better yet, in person)!
It is in my top Japanese restaurant list. Highly recommend to my friends. It is a small restaurant, but they choose the high quality seafood from all of the world. Definitely, I will go here again.
Nice little omakase sushi bar hidden away in Japantown. Miso black cod was my favorite.
