Had a wonderful time here for a wedding reception. Salad, antipasti with mortadella prosciutto etc, pasta with tomato cheese sauce and a main dish of a chicken leg with potatoes and vegetables. Each of the courses tasted so good. The bread with olive oil was also really incredible. If you want some wonderful food in a relaxed atmosphere check out this place.

Food is consistently good, from appetizers up to main and down to dessert. For starters, we had Brussels Chips and Carpaccio Di Manzo. Brussel sprouts chips are good. A little bit salty, but that is what chips are. They were crispy and addictive as well. For main, we had Margherita and San Francisco Pizzas and then pastas Tortelloni Di Manzo, Tagliatelle Salmone & Zucchine. And these 4 were a marvel! For dessert, we had Tiramisu. And it is delicious. For drinks, along the course of the dinner, I had sparkling Prosecco Rosé for starters, and then Chardonnay and then Dolce Vita cocktail paired with tiramisu! And a match made in heaven combination. All in all, it is a great experience. Couple it with great company! It was indeed great.

Restaurant reminds me of a beautiful fish tank with a wide angle view of the world so that you can forget about its average food; the sharks circle and ask you repeatedly to order more ; tell them to suck on a lemon ; use the one they give you with a beer. Perfect place for bouquet of friends to sit and chat, to see and be seen. Best place for reading while having drinks on a weekday when it’s devoid of people. I recently visited Barbara Pinseria and found the atmosphere to be very nice and the staff to be kind and welcoming. However, the pastas I tried were a bit lackluster in flavor. The Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina was particularly missing salt, but we were able to improve the taste with some added chili oil. On the bright side, I highly recommend the Burrata & Pesto Pizza. It was absolutely delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. Here's a breakdown of what I ordered: - Bruschetta [3/5] - Burrata & Pesto Pizza [5/5] - Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina [3/5] - Pappardelle Con Fungi [5/5] Overall, while some dishes were a bit underwhelming, the Burrata & Pesto Pizza and the friendly staff made up for it.

Barbara Pinseria 📍 San Francisco 👀 Came here as part of the North Beach Food Tour, it is a modern Roman pizzerie, named after the owner's grandma. Its specialty is pinsa, a cloud-like pizza made with lighter ingredients. Pinsa is an ancient style of Roman pizza made using combination of soy, rice, and heirloom wheat flour. The dough is left to rise for 48-72 hours, then baked at a lower temperature. The result is a thick but light and airy crispy crust, rich in natural fiber. It’s located on a corner block so pretty good for people watching. 💥 This red and white restaurant has pop art type features with neon sign. Floral wallpaper gives it a retro type vibe. 💁🏼‍♀️ The service was so lovely here, we were welcomed like family. 🍸 Barbara’s is a full on cocktail bar, offering beer, wine, spirits and $13 cocktails! 🍴 This is their signature pinsa the San Francisco USD 16.00 Tomato sauce, spicy salami, italian sausage, mozzarella, red onion - a little spicy! and cheesy check out the cheese pull! Burrata & Pesto USD 16.00 pesto, burrata, basil - this was BEAUTFIUL Pera & Gorgonzola USD 15.00 pear, gorgonzola, walnut, honey - such a nice pizza and good to finish with as a dessert type pizza ✨ Thank you so much for having us!
