My favorite Thai food in SF. Partially due to proximity to where I lived for 7 years, but mostly due to their willigness to make dishes as spicy as I want them. I'm a white guy ordering food "hotter than 'very hot' or 'Thai hot'" so I'm often not taken seriously. This restaurant played along and that's the most important property of a spicy food restaurant to me. Hot food is a priority for me. If you don't give me hot food when I ask for it, I won't like your restaurant. Anyways, the food is good too. I rotated between pad see ew and pad thai (maybe another reason I'm not taken seriously). I always get a side of peanut sauce. All three are great. Their yellow and pumpkin curries are good too, when I've ventured out or tried my friends'. The lettuce wraps are primo and I always like their rangoons. Lastly the tom yum soup, but I find these always taste equally good at Thai restaurants.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. The waitress felt like a long lost grandmother, and she brought the table thai tea on the house. The food was excellent, and the hospitality, even better. I will be coming back! Great for casual dining.

Yum. Delicious and fresh Thai favorites. My Ivy’s version of Chow Mein is light and tasty with the skinny noodles and crispy veggies.

My Ivy is pretty good. The food tasted good and it wasn’t too greasy. I wish they had more vegetables in their noodle dishes and I wish they had more vegan options.

Food and ambiance were good, service friendly, and drink menu was sufficient. I believe it is difficult to really mess up Thai food, but not many can do it really well. My Ivy is in the middle.

Excellent Thai cuisine with twists to some standard dishes, such as a red curry with shrimp and lychee. They'll also, on request, fried rice using brown rice.

I don't understand the middling reviews of this place. I've been ordering takeout from here for years, and EVERYTHING I've ever ordered has been nothing short of EXCELLENT! Their Pineapple Fried Rice is one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten in my LIFE! And they're very friendly, too! I love My Ivy, and am glad they're in my 'hood. They're one of my favorite places to order from.

We ordered crispy tofu salad as the starting course of the meal. See photo. It is unusually tangy-spicy and fresh with decorative sliced onion, diced cherry tomatoes, crispy tofu squares, cilantro, and iceberg lettuce. Next, came our pineapple fried rice with shrimps and tofu-vegetable with ginger and mushroom sauce. They opened at 5 pm and we were first arrival and the service was fast and courteous. If your version of Thai food is ungainly conservative, this place will reinvent your taste bud of New Thai cuisine. Enjoy and love food all your days!
