This little deli has some good sandwich options. I had garden burger which was delicious. The ingredients were super fresh and the roll was toasted to perfection. I recommend this for a quick lunch.
Tony and the woman working the cash register are so sweet and nice. The food is delicious and well priced especially with the serving sizes. I recommend the veggie burger on sour dough roll!
My favorite breakfast stop in the area. There’s nowhere better for a loaded-up bagel sandwich. Tony Baloney’s is such a gem.
Edit: it is also my favorite lunch. You’ve gotta try the reuben.
Delicious & quick sandwich! I got the New York Italian and it was one of the best Italian sandwiches I’ve had. Tony is also so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!
5/5 Stars. I visited San Francisco and despite having a whole itinerary lined up... my spontaneous stop at this family owned corner deli was a highlight of the trip. The couple that owns this place are so kind and the sandwiches are -INCREDIBLE-. Please support this Cafe & Deli. They deserved every cent of what I paid.
Old school deli type eatery w traditional hot breakfast options served all through the day. When Im in the area I slways start my day here
Convenience store with a deli at the back. The location is small/cramped but overall they had everything we needed. Plenty of choices for drinks, snacks, and wines. The deli smelled amazing so my friend got an Italian sandwich while we were here. Apparently they make breakfast sandwiches all day (The eggs and bacon were making the whole place smell delicious), so I plan on coming back for one of those.
Glad to have Tony Baloney’s as an option close by
Amazing sandwich selection (at the back of the store) you can choose which kind of bread you want and there is about a dozen or more options to select from. I usually get Tuna or Egg Salad. My friends rave about the Pesto Chicken. Each sandwich is around $10-15 and the chef is super nice! Highly recommend here to grab a nice to-go sandwich.
The COVID-19 pandemic completely transformed this business, from a reliable dine-in/out sandwich shop and deli with maybe one shelf of groceries into a fully stocked and thoughtfully curated corner store, with a full liquor (off-site) license. I miss sitting at the tables (now gone) and chatting with the owner. But I can now pick up snacks and sundries, I still get all my favorites to-go (like the chicken-pesto on sourdough, the BLTA on toasted croissant or the delicious salmon sandwich) and I can still chat with the boss. He always asks how I am if it's not so busy. He and his charming wife are there working tirelessly 5 days a week, and have managed to come out of the depths of 2020-21 without closing down, for which this neighbor is very grateful.
It was breakfast hours but nice guy behind the counter made me roast beef sammich that I could take on the long flight back to NC. So good. Simple deli...good meats, fresh veg, hearty bread. The breakfast sandwiches sounded really good too. Less than 10 min walk from UN Plaza Station. I'll go back.
