Doppio Zero San Francisco

Doppio is such a great happy hour atmosphere. Well priced, and even without a reservation they will do their best to fit you in to a table. The drinks are well made and I am a fan of the mezcal, the tequila variety is a bit lacking but the mezcal makes up for it. The pizza is a bit Smokey but still light and not too heavy. The meatballs were the table’s favorite but the fries were a close second.

This place deserves more love than it gets! Walked in on a Friday night and was able to get a table by the bar, near the kitchen - which could’ve been terrible with all the movement of people, but I was already happy to have a seat. The experience ended up being great, staff was very friendly, good value for the money wine options, food being served super fast. Salad as a starter had a fantastic dressing and was very fresh. I noticed the pizzas were not my style (i like it very cheesy) so i went for the pasta and zero regrets. It was loud and busy in a good way - good energy if that’s what you’re looking for in a fun night out.

Made reservations with Doppio Zero San Francisco for a wedding celebration. Management was very helpful with setting up reservation, responded within 20mins of any email questions that were submitted and ensured all questions were answered. When arriving to the restaurant we were seated promptly, helped answer questions regarding the menu, and food was out to the table very quickly. And let me say that the food being amazing is an understatement. Everything was amazing, including their drinks. They made sure that our glasses were never empty not a single person in our wedding party was disappointed. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, awesome atmosphere and the ability to seat a larger party. They were also very kid friendly. Not sure what to order for appetizer I would highly recommend the Calamari and Shrimp, it was one of our favorites we ordered 5 separate orders for the table and the serving sizes were very generous. Went on a Saturday night around 7 with no reservations. While no indoor tables were available, we were promptly seated outside under some heaters. We got some fries, the ragu pasta, and the Doppio Zero pizza. Everything came out shockingly fast. The pasta was solid, though it could've had a little more depth to the flavor. The pizza was great and probably my favorite thing we had. Overall, very satisfied with the food and service - would recommend!

Overall - 3.5/5 Food - 4/5 Ambiance - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Was my favorite place for pre/post show munchies, but this time it was not the best of experience. We ordered… - Shishito Pepper - Excellent. Most were mild, but of a few spicy ones that may sneak into the bowl - Calamari/Shrimp - Loved it. Shrimp addition was a nice touch to the traditional calamari - Croquette - Delicious - Truffled French Fries - Hot crispy and just the right hint of truffles - Margherita Pizza - Pulcinella Pizza - Fungo Pizza The appetizers came out really quickly. They were hot and fresh. The pizzas took their time and the crust was kind of soggy. Service was slow. It seemed that were always trying to get their attention. We had to get up and go ask at the counter for condiments. The drinks were the first item we ordered and about 20 min later we were told that they were out of one item. Great place with amazing service. Food quantity is less so if you have a significant appetite then I'd recommend ordering more. Must try the mushroom ravioli it's amazing. We ended up ordering another one it was that good (and quantity being less). Not sure why but the second serving came in a smaller size plate (I'm assuming the quantity was the same and not altered)
