Expected tourist trap but pleasantly surprised. The place was empty when we came in around 2pm on a Sunday, which almost made us go elsewhere. I'm glad we didn't because the food was good, service friendly, and great views of the bay. Portions were not large and it was a bit on the expensive side. We didn't try sushi based on low expectations. Garlic noodle, salmon, and ahi salad were good. Would actually go back.
This place was delicious! We try to eat as healthy as possible and they have a ton of healthy choices. They have one of the best veggie wraps I have ever had! If I'm ever back in the area from Wisconsin I will be back keep up the good work!
I went with my wife and 3 kids. So that we could still get happy hour food deals the bar tender sat us nearby and served as our waitress.
She was courteous and helpful. The food was so good my kids finished everything except the fries and usually it's the opposite.
They had the best rainbow roll I have ever eaten as well. Plus, the view of Alcatraz was awesome!

Quiet, ambient atsmodpthere. located all the way at the end of pier 39. If you have the city pass go to information cneter to pick up your coupons, one of which is for Hana Zen. I got the soft shell crab salad. The dressing was light . Sushi was ok. Drinks were strong 👌. Service was great !
We were very happy with our grilled salmon salad and chicken teriyaki & tempura. Good pull of wine. Cold Ichiban. Impressive view. Oddly, two audio systems, one at bar, playing different (good) streams.
Often eat here while walking around. Good place, wide variety. Tasty stone steak. Interesting to cook))). $120 for 4.
This place was one of best stops we had while visiting San Fransisco. The Sushi wasn't as good as what we get here in Colorado but definitely the best stop out of the California restaurants we visited. It has a great view of the ocean and bridges. VERY reasonable lunch, with beer, 4-5 rolls, and starters. I will definitely revisit this place when we go to San Francisco again. The servers were also fantastic!
If you're in the mood for sushi and find yourself at Pier 39, this is a solid choice for it. They have all the staples that will take care of your craving. Are they "super fancy" and have a large selection of rare types of sushi? No. But the place is clean, passably modern furnishings and a great view. Do they fly in their fish and ingredients from Japan? No. But the sushi and entrees and apps are prepared with care. And is the menu diverse enough for folks in your party to find something that isn't necessarily sushi? Yes.
Our experience with service was nothing like what the reviews are mentioning. Is it the best service I've ever had anywhere? No. But our server checked in on us several times, always had a smile, and was prompt and communicative.
Added bonus? They have San Miguel draft!! Visiting from Colorado (where no restaurants really carry San Miguel) and being Filipino, it filled me with pride and made my heart happy :)
