We love San Francisco's sushi offerings, and Ariake definitely is one of the best places. They have different kinds of sushi and sashimi as well as bento options for lunch. The place is small and homey, and although it doesn't look wonderful on the inside, the people are nice and the food is good. Also, the prices are very reasonable, making the place a good value. Great option!

We are BIG sushi people, and have traveled the world to enjoy good sushi. We flew into SF tonight for a wedding weekend in Tomales. Originally we weren’t planning on stopping in the city but decided too on a whim and randomly chose this spot due to reviews and pics. It’s was an incredible experience and reminded me of our times in cute little Tokyo spots. We will 100% be back, but until this - I hope anyone reading this review and deciding to come here, goes. You will not regret it.
We loved the miso soup and cherry blossom roll but the absolute highlight was the Omakase so the chefs could do their thing with high quality fish!
And lastly, the staff was awesome and so kind/cute with us. And the spot was just adorbs. We will be back!
Really good, fresh fish. Very authentic - my Japanese mother kept saying “this is a REAL Japanese restaurant!”
Staff was kind and friendly, atmosphere was great. Meal was a little pricey, but not overpriced for the quality. One of the best low key sushi spots in the city
Wow this is the best sushi I think I’ve ever had! The owners are so friendly and competent, the fish is amazingly fresh, and the price is very reasonable for the quality. Cannot recommend enough - I will be back!!
What an amazing experience! The food was phenomenal, probably the best sushi either of us had ever had! Service was friendly. They had a great sake selection. The quality is very much worth the price. We ejoyed every moment of it! We may come back every time we visit San Francisco. Definitely try the "Josh Roll" 🫰🫰🫰

Chirashi Bowl is so fresh!
Every sushi restaurant is very expensive and sometimes it's over priced. Ariake has a variety of fish and very good quality and the price reasonable for the very good quality. Had a hirame. Kampachi, Aji, albacore, iwashi, etc.
Best fish in NorCal hands down. Jin is a master sushi chef and the most humble person one could ever meet.
