Great Eastern Restaurant - San Francisco - Photo album

In the heart of Chinatown, this place is an amazing spot for dim sum! The prices are quite reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area and the taste and quality of the dishes were good! The food came out fast and quick aside from some of the more special or unique dishes which came a litt
We have been dying for a good DimSum restaurant in Chinatown. We found it! Their DimSum was fresh and delicious. We had the shrimp dumplings three different ways. The fried ones were different with a great taste. We started with a big bowl of Won Ton soup which was filling. We were happy to find thi
Good no frills Chinese restaurant in the heart of China town. We ordered a bunch of dim sum and they were all great. Our favourite were the soup dumplings and the shrimp ones. Make sure you leave some time though as the spot gets very busy!
We went for the dim sum and the food is really good. Pretty authentic. We also ordered one Hot and sour soup. So good. The only lacking is they don’t have enough staff. It was hard to get the attention of the waiter to get a replacement of chopsticks pr spoon because they were running for the other
Dim sum & fried rice were excellent; some of the best in SF. Not many healthy vegetarian/vegan options; ordered the eggplant tofu (they were nice enough to sub tofu instead of pork) but it was soaked in way too much oil. The fried pumpkin was so salty it was inedible. Their shrimp dim sum was velvet
Great spot I like to eat at when I'm visiting my family. Everything I have chosen here is delicious.
Dim sums are fresh with so many choices. Main dishes are okay. Clay pot braised pork was so tender and melt like ice cream BUT way too salty.
Delicious Chinese food! A very quaint and lovely place. The servers are very nice. Love that the meal comes with tea!
Have been here twice for dinner and dim sum and both were excellent. The food looks just like the pictures, so you will not be disappointed.
Great dim sum spot in SF Chinatown. Pretty busy on a Sunday morning, but we got there before it opened, so we got a table right away. My favorites were a little different here, with turnip cakes, XO spicy rice noodle roll, steamed beef short ribs with black pepper sauce, and pan fried leek and shrim
Place is delicious! Wait is usually quick. Recommend: 10. Snow Pea Sprouts & Shrimps Dumplings 13. Zhou Zhou Dumplings 24. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf 38. Pan Fried Pork Bun 53. Deep fried bean curd skin rolls w shrimps 56. Rice noodle roll stuffed w BBQ Pork This is enough for 2-3 people. Double down
The dim sum is amazing! Everything is very tasty. Service is a bit sketchy but if you go in understanding that all is ok! The Shanghai dumplings are very tasty
Great place for Dim Sum. Authentic Chinese food. It has two levels of dining area. The restroom is on the lower floor. The tea is $1.75 per person. They are having a new item called “Pork & shrimp bean curd skin roll in dried scallop soup “. Highly recommend it.
This place was an amazing little discovery! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered Mongolian beef, chicken fried rice, hot and sour soup, and the potstickers. Everything was phenomenal! We have never had such a flavorful hot and sour soup, and the potstickers were so tender and juicy. We came
This is a must in SF. A bit hard to get to because of parking but glad I did. It was delicious!
This was our first trip to San Francisco and Chinatown. We absolutely enjoyed our meal here, with their huge selection of Dim Sum lunch choices and friendly service. My personal favorites were the Shrimp and Cilantro dumplings and the Rolled and Pan Fried Noodles. It was everything I was hoping for.
The restaurant is large and very open. It's also a little run down. But, we came for the food. Dim Sum is the specialty and excellent. The menu has a good variety and food quality is good. Service and cost are fair.
