Stopped into Bills after a day at the beach. It’s got an old school feel, definitely reminded me of the diners back at home. I ordered a patty melt and fries which came out to around 15 dollars. Delicious! Every bite resembled flashbacks of home. Watching them cook it on the flat top made it even more special. They’ve been around for over 60 plus years for a reason!
Love that Bill’s is still around 🤗 they have always cooked their bacon just the way I like it, extra crispy. They always remember their customers & are so personable. Some of the best burgers in the city & hotcakes that don’t disappoint. They use good quality eggs with golden yolks. So happy I was able to enjoy the quietness of being one of the first in this morning, looking forward to another visit in the morning when I can enjoy the space alone as the staff ritually do each day. An old school institution in the heart of the Richmond that makes good ol’fashioned food for relatively inexpensive prices. The burger was solid especially for the price and the onion rings were actually my favorite part. $22 after tax and tip for a cheeseburger, onion rings and a coke is pretty well priced in non fast food standards (honestly cheaper than Shake Shack) and solid food and service.
Went here with my wife and son for lunch. We ordered The Works Burger, the 49er burger and a Bill's classic cheesburgee. With curly fries and regular fries.
The service was excellent. They also had the 49er game on one of the TVs!
The food came to us in a timely manner. It was excellent. The temperatures on our burgers were on the spot. The fries were hot and tasty.
Very fresh meat.
I was surprised the waitress asked me 'how you want the hamburger cooked'.
I have not had a hamburger cooked medium rare in years.
The burger and fries was not salted, which i liked.
The exhaust system was old and not working well.

What a great place for a burger. I had the Famous Bill's Cheeseburger #02 and my wife had the grilled cheese. The bacon was thick and crispy, the produce was fresh and complimented the fresh juicy meat perfectly.
Everything was cooked perfectly, the fries are cut fresh and fried right away.
Sit at the counter if you can, it's great to watch them cook your food and have it go from grill to you with one turn.
Has a great little dinner feel. I'll be back for sure.
Large party of 20 or so. Drinks were ordered and arrived promptly. Food ordering took a lot longer. Place was not packed, but they fulfilled a lot takeout orders. When food arrived, nothing was burnt, it was just tasty diner burgers. Onion rings were popular, strawberry milkshake made from real Dryers ice-cream was delicious. 49'ers burger was tasty with a bit of ketchup. The #1cheeseburger were enjoyed by the kids. Curly fries are better than the original fries.
Maybe the best burger in San Francisco. I particularly like the Bill’s 1/3 pd Burger with Cheese. Friendly staff and you get what you pay for. They use fresh ingredients and cook it right in front of you. The chicken melt in really good as well and for the non meat eater, they have Impossible Burgers.
The food was delicious! And clean! Worth the money! My kids loved it and asked to make it our place, not alot of traffic at all. It's a hidden gem for sure, their service was on awesome.
We visited Bill's Place as a group of 23 on a school trip from the UK. The extremely friendly staff greeted us at the door and welcomed us into this traditional American diner.
The food was FANTASTIC - when Bill's Place say they are "Home of the Hamburger", this is nothing short of an understatement. During our trip, this is the only meal where every single student and staff member cleared their plates (which is an achievement given the portion sizes!) and said how much they enjoyed the food! Burgers, fries, hotdogs and extra-thick milkshakes all went down a storm!
Prices were more than reasonable, service was extremely fast - we cannot fault the experience, nor thank the owners of this family run business enough for this meal.
I would highly recommend this to anyone even remotely near the area - my only regret is that we didn't take any pictures of the food or the restaurant!
