Decent coffee shop off Union Square with a mix of pastries and lunch. As a local, I prefer some of the higher end coffee shops nearby that are more serious about their craft (and for the same prices). I really enjoy Bluestone Lane and Coffee Bar. One plus of Café Madeleine is their hot coffee cups are amazing !

Fantastic little spot! Stopped by for breakfast with family - we got the avocado toast, almond butter toast, everything croissant, and coffee drinks. Everything was SO tasty.
But what makes this location superb is the service - Nico went above and beyond to bring us our food with a smile and friendly attitude (we sat outside).

My go to place for cakes in downtown SF (mostly because there's no better place in the area). Personally I like Paris Baguette's fruit cakes and 85C's mango cake more. But this is pretty close. Their cakes aren't too sweet and have good texture. Not a big fan of their matcha tiramisu (I feel it's a bit dry and sweet rather than a good moist/soft matcha flavor) but their mango mousse, triple chocolate mousse, and gianduja are all pretty good.

I get off the bus right outside and grab coffee daily. Staff is super nice and always welcoming. Coffee is great and so are the croissants and quiche. Fun atmosphere and I look forward to it every morning.

Bright, cheerful pastry shop and cafe conveniently located near Union Square and Powell BART station. Nice selection of classic European style cakes and pastries. I had the marjolaine, a delicious confection of layered hazelnut meringue, vanilla buttercream, and bittersweet chocolate. The are a couple tables with some chairs out front for those rare days when it's warm enough to sit outside and relax.

Great bakery with delicious cakes and coffee. They also have nice people taking care of the shop. I reached here just before closing to buy one pastry and they gave me one free! The place is located in the heart of the shopping district of San Fransisco. A must visit place if you are around.
