I never would have gone here if I wasn’t recommended it. To be honest, it is not pretty to look at from the outside! However, looks don’t matter at this place. Hockey haven is a true locals bar. It has such a fun mix of surfers, hipsters, people who read at the bar, old hippies, Richmond families etc - and everyone seems to get along here. They sometimes do specialty drinks like big alcoholic Capri sun style pouches. But I like it for the affordable beer and friendly patrons. There’s a back patio where you can smoke if that’s your thing. I can’t wait until they re-open
Great neighborhood bar with friendly regulars. Okay parklet, not fancy, but it serves it's purpose.
Hi there! Don’t know if anybody is going to see this or not but if so do you still have your black zip up sweatshirts with the neon pink green and blue hockey haven logo with martini glass on the back available? Or anything like it?
If anyone sees this you can email me at nataliestreeter92@gmail.com
Just so you know. The hockey Haven has a very rich if not somewhat infamous history. If you look behind the pool table you’ll see a picture of a man shooting pool. This is my grandfather George Massing. This is a genuine photo taken in this bar in the 1950s.
Grandpa George visited this bar almost every night during his time in San Francisco. He came here so often that this is where he had his retirement party. This picture is a famous icon among the Massing family all over The country. This bar is no joke. It is a San Francisco Magine dating back decades.
I love the Hockey Haven! I don’t like hockey, but this bar is so much fun. Neighborhood bars like this are very welcoming. Plus, I adore Erin Massey!❤️
Warm, fun cheap drinks. Best combo of dive-bar with a chill atmosphere and local haunt.
Great drinks by bearded men. What else do you need.
